Munster Rugby - We DID start the fire (Part 1)

Ya, finally have a 10, and he is a serious operator.

So obvious when a player has the extra time on the ball. hope they can hang onto him nowā€¦heā€™s in last yr of 3 yr contract!

Be fairly nasty to bail after the faith and compassion shown to him. Professional game or not.

Indeed. Iā€™d be surprised if he left in fairness. He will be in an Irish squad this time next year probably

Fuck sake.

I knew youā€™d like that

how is Hanrahan getting on wherever he is playing ball now? I assume he is getting enough game time to ensure that he doesnā€™t have to return to play for
Currow in the Oā€™Donoghue Cup next few weeks to get a bit of a game of ball

Heā€™s injured at the moment I think he broke his foot. Didnā€™t get that much games last season really. Disappointing move for him Iā€™d say. He went over with one man to dislodge and couldnā€™t do it and in the meantime the wunderkid of English rugby (who is also the coaches son) has come along in direct competition to him.

And the club are in a total meltdown as well. Iā€™d say JJ would walk it home to Currow now if there was the option to come home.

Hanrahan was advised by all, that the move was a bad idea, but he couldnā€™t be told. Heā€™s wasted 2 years when he could now be the man in situ in Munster.

In Ireland, Hanrahan was an upcoming star in a national system which desperately wants its youth to get through to the top.

Just another piece of meat when you go elsewhere. I admire him for taking the risk but he left a good system for a reward that I just donā€™t think was worth it.

Heā€™ll come home, buy a house cash for himself and play for Munster.

Absolutely. Donā€™t blame him one bit. They tried to lowball him completely and had continously picked keatley ahead of him at 10 when available. He got a shit load of extra cash and a year more of a contract than Munster offered.

It looks a poor decision now granted but at the time he backed himself to get ahead of Myler and it just didnā€™t work out. Wouldnā€™t surprise me if back next season

They made a fuck of it, allied to the fact that they probably bullshitted and insulted him by not making feel worth it. When if they said, look we just donā€™t have the money enjoy your time and not try to portray him as greedy it would not have been so difficult to come back

Had he stayed, heā€™d be the main number 10 now and TB wouldnt have got a sniff. He chose short term over long term, is injured and will come home to be second choice/utility back again. He got the few bob and good luck to him.

TB is many many times a better player than JJ was when he left. Now as it turned out it was immaterial because TB was crocked and he would have gotten the 10 jersey.

Worked out OK for munster in end because TB would have played 12 outside JJ and Rory Scannel wouldnā€™t be on the mapā€¦and he is absolutely outstanding young fella.

Oppurtunity is always the answer in these cases.

Look at the All Blacks

After his heroics in Chicago last night, a Tadhg Furlong Roundabout in New Ross has to be imminent.

What kind of money would he be on?

wow, just wow
