Munster Rugby - We DID start the fire (Part 1)

When I went to club games years ago in the old thomond park, players tried to avoid collisonsā€¦the running straight through the opposing player will not end well unless its sorted out soon.

Most of the better players still do. I think if you look at Leinster tonight one of big features of their play with young fellas is footwork before contact and just making the tackle a little bit less impact full. This is coached into them big time in the academy Iā€™d say and is just part of a developing pro game, Having your best players fit is something that was only ever focused on post injury till a few years ago. Now this focus is moving on avoiding injury in first place

As I said earlier most concussion incidents you see are as a result of stupidity and poor coaching. Last weekend James Haskell, the definition of a thick cunt, made a comeback from months out injured. Within a minute he was gone off wobbling because he threw himself into a tackle with poor t3chnique and got his head on wring side of players legs.
100% nobodyā€™s fault but his own and 100% avoidable if he had tried to tackle like he had been taught the first day he started playing rugby instead of trying to blow a fella over.

BTW my above response isnā€™t saying there isnā€™t an issue at the minute. There is. Just I donā€™t think it as close to as big an issue as itā€™s made out. The public awareness of it has gone through the roof in last few seasons which is a good thing. But as I said above a lot of this is due to teams changing their tackling approach and shifting the tackle line up the body to prevent offloads which the lawmakers have started to fight back against.

Thatā€™s fine- but the idea that bandwagons only exist for rugby football is a TFK invention.

Hurling is a far better game to watch and play. Unquestioned.

Didnā€™t realise you had played rugby. Just didnā€™t enjoy it?

Will Glasgow put it up to them?

Sickening the way the French donā€™t take this seriously

Ah they did there a few years ago when they carved up the money between themselves and England.

This is a disaster for connacht

Any point here for toulouse means they probably need two points minimum next weekend in France

Irish clubs as well off as they were previous. Apart from now not being gteed any more than one spot in the comp. Which is a moot point at the moment

Thatā€™s not going to help :confounded:

Noā€¦disaster
