Unfortunate that his peak coincided with the regimented risk averse Schmidt era. The way Farrell utilises Hansen and Lowe would have suited Zebo instead of chasing box kicks and resourcing rucks.

Absolutely. After a decent enough start the dross that we had to put up with under Schmidt was appalling. Picking Dave Kearney and anyone else who wouldnât make a line break in case they got isolated and coaching them to run into the nearest defender and recycle the ball and nauseum when we could have been building a back three around zebo in his prime.

Lazy with the talent - he certainly wasnât even in the top ten most effective backs since BOD, as in backs youâd want in your team to win a match. In Munster alone youâd think Conway and Earls would be ahead. Imagine if heâd properly harnessed his natural talent?
