Don’t think people realise how little Munster player. If you take out the two Leinster games and the four European games where you won’t expect to be testing lads out Munster have five games between now and the end of six nations

So 11 games between now and end of 6N on top of the two URC and two pre season games played. 15 games before you get into the business end of the season…seems like plenty

Why wouldn’t coombes be playing in plenty of them? He’s been one of munsters best players over the past few seasons putting in decent performance despite the dross around him

I know a fella who played to a very decent level and he says against the elite teams, Coombes would be better suited to coming from the bench.

Gleeson needs minutes. We know what we get with Coombes.

You’ve four games with three pre Leinster and then a three week break.

Give gleeson a minimum of two starts pre Leinster and see if he’s ready for croke park.

Thats a big part of McMillan’s plan. Give them 2 years and then cut them lose. The Wycherleys and a few others are playing for their careers this season. Scannell was very classy leaving, no big song or dance, over in Ealing now playing number 10. Proper love of the game.

The two scannells are grand lads but aren’t near the level you want. Honest players but that’s it.

Josh wycherlys two best days have been five years apart. He’s had injury hell but there might be something there.

Josh and Jack o Donghue are really fine players but just shy of top level. You could probably do with one of them. Both of them would get contracts at good clubs.

I do think the distorting of wages in the provinces could get tricky. The top club can’t attract our international level players but could they get a Coombes or Tom ahern which is a huge concern for Munster imo.
