Munster Senior Hurling Championship 2018

Did not see the interview. But someone actually in the camp (periodically) was with us yesterday and without being really soecific at all questioned the conditioning and the between game recovery.
This person has GPS data, and apprently Cork teams over past few years are simply getting nowhere near the volume of Max speed and KM’s done even compared to other club teams this guy works with.

Since he was awarded HOTY.

Cahill getting road was the winning of drawing it for Tipperary.
He was shocking bad and doing more harm than good.

He was starting to go a bit better before getting sent off and likely would have been taken off at half time anyway. I think Tipp would have won that game with 15

Why are they starting so badly?
Barrett will be a massive boost the next day.
He was like a rabid dog when he came on.

Because they aren’t a very good team. I don’t even rate Clare and I could easily see Clare beating them by 10-15 points next weekend

The last 15 minutes of the all ireland was very strange from Gleeson last year. It was like he was dizzy or something.

Are you drunk already, the hurling tipp played to get back into it was outstanding, only galway could compete with it. Mind you kelly was probably trying to keep it respectable after the sending off tipp got a few softish frees. But they’ll maul clare

The legs have gone in many of them.
Ryan needs to get as much energy into the starting line up as possible.
Bonnar is back and Barrett is a great player.
The three Mahers at HB will be solid.
It’s plugging the holes in FB and Midfield the problem.

Everybody thought the same last week. Don’t get me wrong, they’re some of the best hurlers I’ve ever seen play for Tipp and at times they play hurling nobody else can even dream of but I could easily see the same happening next week and them not coming back this time. I think the likely outcomes of that game are Clare hammering Tipp or Tipp winning by a point or two

Tipperary have always produced the most skillful hurlers.
but a lot of those boys have serious miles on the clock.
they are fighting hard though. I wouldnt rule them out just yet.
If the McGrath brothers can kick on again and Forde is put back inside, they will trouble any team.

A lot of these boys are on the go since 2008 /2009 . That is serious mileage in modern game .

There is.
But a peculiar thing happens a man when he’s faced with annihilation.
But I asked already, how many times can they go to the well. It does look
like just a matter of time alright. It’s never nice seeing a great team come to a horrible end like that.
But that’s sport. and that’s life.

Galway seem to have massive discpline issues in their squad. Two players should have walked v kk and a red, four yellows and 24 frees conceded yesterday v Wexford. The numbers of cards/frees they are conceding in games they are dominating is surprising.

James Owens is not a good ref gave some woefully soft frees on Saturday night. I counted 6 or 7 at least. He was appalling for cork vs Dublin in 2013 and also for Kilkenny vs Waterford last year. If he wasn’t from Wexford you say the same. Johnny Murphy is basically like any new refthat come onto the scene. The know they are being judged by assessors and therefore blow for everything. Way too fussy. I think as refs become more established on the intercounty panel of referees they ref the game with a bit more common sense.

The average age of the Tipp panel is relatively low.
Couple of lads in late 20’s is all.

true.
But they have done a lot Harry.
When the legs go just a little it can be all the difference at this level.

They’re most of the best lads though and they’ve all been on the go a long time

Teams only last 4 or 5 years now. Tipp badly need fresh legs.
