Hon the banner well done lads. Nice people in victory or defeat.
The aul Limerick inferiority complex in there. Theyâre on their best run in years and still have to throw digs in at Tipp, even after the shittest year of Tipp hurling since Babs V2.
You couldnât make it up
Best run? eh, itâs still only Munster, pal.
The limerick crowd were too busy watching the Clare tipp game today to focus on their own game. Sad sad individuals to a man. Not a medal between them.
Limerick remind me of Tipp in 08. We were cock a hoop all year until it all fell apart against WD in the Semi Final.
Limerick have a nice blend of youth & experience and tbf a Management team with a full season under their belts.
Limerick will do well this year but the bigger picture for them is next year & the Years after. If they can keep a lid on things they can be top dogs soon.
Galway hold all the aces this year unless poor Joe is butchered.
Thought OâDwyer was utterly woeful today as well. No consistency in his refereeing
Something like Nancy Kerrigan in the 1994 Winter Olympics
With Tipp gone, all the potential protagonist can rest assured that Fergal Horgan will do the job right.
Poor Conor McGrath getting taken off with 30 seconds left in the first halfâŚ
Has he done any big championship matches this year so far?
Cleere was ok today, one mad decision against Flanagan when he was grabbed around the neck but done him for over carrying. Obviously in a one sided game itâs easier for the ref with less stress than in a tight game.
Paudie maher got some serious handy frees today.
Yeah.
Iâd count three dubious frees he got. Sure it didnât matter a jot in the end for us.
When did ye last go three championship games against different opposition without a defeat? Limerick are flying it
The best in the job. Hopefully HQ will get this decision right
Mick Ryan will have to go.
Served under Sheedy 07 to 10 (selector) and also under O Shea (assistant manager) 13 to 15 and now has had 15 to 18 as main man himself.
The whole Tipperary Senior Set up has gone stale. Some players have regressed ie Bubbles, Padraic Maher, Noel McGrath. Others still have totally fell off the grid like James Barry, Michael Breen, Shane Bourke, Steven O Brien. The only players that have progressed or improved are John McGrath, Ronan Maher while the switch back to wing back reinvigorated Brendan Maher. The number of players selected out of position are too many to mention but standout ones would be Seamus Kennedy at full back, Cathal Barrett at midfield and Seamus Callinan at corner forward.
The case against Mick Ryan.
-
The handling of the Cathal Barrett fiasco last year.
-
The set up and preparation for last years League final against Galway.
-
The reinstatement of Darren Gleeson.
-
The idiotic and pointless decision to veto the appearance of a couple of players on the late late show last year.
-
The team picked to play Kilkenny in this years League round robin game.
-
The team picked to play Limerick in the 1st round of the Munster Championship.
-
Making a fucking fool out of himself with the Media Ban subsequantly withdrawn the very next day.
-
The not having the balls to drop a clearly unready and unable Seamus Callinan.
-
The unstable nature of the full back line throughout the 2018 Munster Championship, lest we forget Mick Ryan hurled in this line himself.
-
The treatment of Hotpoint Hayes.
Add it all up and the picture emerges of a man who won an All Ireland in his first year but subsequantly lost the run of himself and was exposed as being out of his depth.
Word is that Aaron Shanagher is back in full training since the Waterford match. Expected that he could be available for the All Ireland series. Would be a decent option off the bench
Aron Shanagher.
Hotpoint will feel bitter sweet vindication over his treatment tonight.
I have a feeling the Callanan - Maher fiasco was the undoing of this Tipp team.
