Were Waterford home or away today? Serious question.
Interestingly the team news was much more widely known in advance this year than in previous years
Away
They are home to Cork next weekend in Thurles
Limerick look decent but theyâre more than capable of making a right bollox of it through self sabotage.
In fairness to Mick Ryan the core of that team is getting old. Theyâve hurled into August or September nearly every year of the last 10 and the batteries have to be running low. Kilkenny set this totally unreasonable standard for how long players should be expected to perform at the highest level. A lot of the best Tipp players are in physical decline and no manager can reverse that.
Away
Is he the chap who has the mange?
Youâre an aul cunt all the same
Like who? Pick 3
Rather that then being shite.
Ooooooooh.
That post is more than Lee Chin produced in the second half last night, pal.
Aaaaaaaaah
Callanan, paudie Maher and Brendan Maher.
Brendan Maher had his two best games in years the last two weeks. Hopefully not a bad injury for him today
There could well be a kick in Tipp next year . A good break , a bit of freshness and new management . Foolish to write them off .
It looked fairly bad. Hope Iâm wrong.
I was about to say something like this. Tipp were fairly unlucky with a good few injuries to key players coming into the championship and the four weeks on the trot. The only retirement I could see is Mickey Cahill. Dan McCormack going off early again today a big loss. Get Barrett back in the corner. I donât think its an end of an era and theyâll have as much chance as anyone else next year IMO
Theyâve a lot to fix. Full back, possibly centre back, centre forward and full forward. Thatâs huge. Iâd say itâll be 2 years yet before theyâre right
Isnât the Bainisteoirâs job in that case to make sure heâs introducing new talent into the team and building up a squad with plenty of options to counter the physical declinesnif those players?
