Munster Senior Hurling Championship 2018

:joy:
Brendan Maher has had his best season in years. MOM the last day and brilliant against Cork too. Paidi Maher was best player on the pitch yesterday until he was inexplicably moved. Teams have by and large avoided him. Cant be everywhere I suppose.
And Callinan, well he had back surgery and no pre-season. This season was always going to be a write off.

Jason Forde was one of the best full forwards in the country this year. What county are you from that you know so little about hurling?

I’d have to agree. They rode considerable luck but were the width of the post away from beating clare comfortably enough, and being talked up as contenders, and when they play well, they are still brilliant. There’s more right with them than wrong.

If young Morris had hit that shot wide …

Small margins .

Tipp will probably be the team to beat in Munster next year .

That’s an atrocious comment.

You’re a bitter man.
He kept the score board down yesterday. You should be thanking him
not abusing him.

I don’t know why they’ve been fucking about at centre back. Ronan Maher is the centre back. They’re coming down with wing backs and surely can convert one of them into a passable full back, and Breen is obvious option by all accounts, be easier if they had two half decent corner backs. After that there is no reason Callanan cannot get back to his best and with Forde and John McGrath they have three marquee forwards, probably the best potential scoring power in the country after Galway. They could potentially turn this around very fast.

They could do with the strength in depth and confidence to cut Barrett loose, thanks for your services now fuck off.

Conlon, Podge’s and Duggans second point late on were incredible scores under pressure when the stakes were highest. Unreal stuff

Those were the shots we have been putting wide for the last few years. Duggan just fucking Kennedy out of his way and riffling it over the bar for the last point was class. A goosebumps moment watching it back here.

I was fucking him out of it for shooting from there

Steady on.

I see where @Big_Dan_Campbell is coming from beating Tipp in Thurles after so long means alot it did to us when Tom Ryan fired over the winner there in 2014.

Delighted for Clare. I think I’ll make a weekend of it next weekend. Head up to doolin on Friday. Can’t wait.

Spot on.

It’s the support cast are the issue. And trouble makers and lazy cunts like bubbles and the keeper and Barrett.

It was an outrageous score.

Conlon and duggan got 3 magnificent t points from very difficult angles.

No mention though of though he most blatant throw in years for build up though he goal. Might have been Conlon who passed off to Podge

They are deficient upstairs and in the metaphorical gut. Say what anyone wants about Jackie Tyrrell but he marked their cards correctly a good while ago.
Too many tight matches lost over the years now for it to be just ‘luck on the day’ all the goddam time.

Yeah it was Conlon, they showed a replay of it during the break in play and definitely looked like a throw to me. Marty never noticed it.

Marty was still talking about Tuohy’s “save” from Morris at the other end.

He is a shite commentator and incredibly twee. Almost does the game a disservice. Callinan got an incredible point yesterday. When I saw highlights last night it got the same response a tap over 21 yard free would get.

They didn’t even show a replay of it

Commentating isn’t easy. He can go a bit ott but I’d much rather listen to Marty, who has an actual interest in the game, than someone like Ger Canning whose primary concern is to try and appear intelligent, another thing he fails miserably at.
