Munster Senior Hurling Championship 2018

Iā€™ve said it since I saw him at "U21 level, Jack Browne is not up to that level, heā€™ll be taken to the cleaners this summer. Itā€™s just a pity heā€™ll be gone by the Limerick game

Cusack park has gone up to 19,000 apparently.

There must have been a lot of work done to it.

Gas cunts.

I always rated Pat Oā€™Connor, has his form dipped? Iā€™d take Oā€™Connor ahead of Browne any day. Wing back is the only possible spot for Browne.

Are ye Gina back to Kelly and Galvin in midfield? What will the forwards look like?

Duggan-Malone-Reidy
Oā€™Donnell-Conlon-Mcgrath

With Duggan, Conlon and Oā€™Donnell somewhat interchangeable.

Tidy. Duggan looks a different player this year, he seems to have developed massively.

19,000. I find that hard to believe. The facilities there are the worst in Ireland.

Ha, youā€™ve had a very sheltered GAA life if you think Ennis is the worst in Ireland.

I meant it in the context of hosting a munster championship game. Irelandā€™s most elite sporting competition

Lk v Ce in Ennis will be great if there is something at stake for both teams . Real atmosphere etc .

Backtrack. Be more careful in future.

Ennis will be rocking. Some great pubs spitting distance from the grounds and a great atmosphere. It mightnt have much on facilities but the pitch is excellent and it will have a proper atmosphere

Where is worse with a similar capacity and is the main ground for a county team? Newbridge, Carlow, Wicklow, Louth perhaps?

I wouldnā€™t even compare Walsh Park

There is a possibility it could be dead rubber obviously. Has anyone worked out the scenarios for this to happen? Assume it would mean something like limerick and clare to have lost all 3 games before the fourth round or Limerick to have won all 3 and clare to have lost all 3? Given 3 go through I am my thinking it is unlikely we will go into the final round wit a complete dead rubber? You probably will have a scenario where one team is guaranteed to be through but the other needs to win.

It will be interesting but some games wonā€™t have that usual championship edge I reckon

Walsh Park
Conleths
Drogheda
Antrim
Ballybofey
Pearse Park Longford
Navan
The Hyde

Off the top of my head

Newbridge is probably the worst county ground Iā€™ve been to. An absolute kip. The worst of the worst.

Come to think of it the Louth county ground in Drogheda was fairly brutal too.

Maybe Iā€™ve become immune to it but I donā€™t mind Ennis these days. For even a middling crowd there tends to be a cracking atmosphere. Probably be a better buzz at the u-21 match on Monday week than some of the senior provincial games in Munster this summer.

In all honesty practically all GAA county grounds are dives. Visually all four sides of the ground tend to be out of kilter with facilities non existent for the most part. You look at clubs in the lower leagues in the UK who have smart 10/15/20/25k all seater stadiums and wonder why something similar canā€™t be applied over here.

Yeah I actually like Ennis too and the covered terrace. I have often said here that usually the bigger the kip, the better the atmosphere. No idea where theyā€™ll fit the 19,000 though

I got to a Brentford game midweek randomly a few years ago. Total kip but it oozed a proper English football vibe

I can exclusively reveal to the forum that Seamus callanan wonā€™t be playing hurling for tipp this year.

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

The Turlougheen blaggarded him and he hasnā€™t slept right since.

I heard similar. Heā€™s not happy with the way mgmt handled the controversy involving him last year. I donā€™t blame him to be honest.
