I heard Daithi Regan commend Burke for his hit on Sunday.
Said it was exactly what a full back should do. @Appendage
Most pundits saying there was noting at all in Morans hit but it a sending off by the new rules but noting in the hit.
i.e Kelly acting the bollix.
Look at the other side of it and Kingstonâs goal against Tipp.
No one laid a hand on him.
Waterford can come back ?
You just donât get it. Kingston should have been milled.
The injuries sustained by Waterford Senior Hurlers Tadhg De Burca , Darragh Fives and Barry Coughlan in Sundaysâs game against Clare have ruled them out for the remainder of the Championship.
Itâs a massive blow to the Deise who were already dealing with injuries to Austin Gleeson and Paraic Mahony.
Tadhg De Burca suffered a broken collarbone and will be out for a number of months
Barry Coughlan broke his hand in three places and will also need months to recover from that injury.
Darragh Fives calf injury will rule him out for up to eight weeks.
Noel Connors received an injury to his back and he is still being assessed.
Maurice Shanahan suffered a groin injury.
In a statement Waterford GAA says the Team Management and the medical team are currently assessing the situation regarding Noel Connors who had to leave the field at half time with a back injury and Maurice Shanahan who had to remain on the field although suffering with a groin issue along with the serious injuries acquired to Austin Gleeson and Pauric Mahony.
They also confirmed that Kevin Moran will not be requesting a hearing on his proposed one match suspension.
Year is a write off tbh . Has any team ever had such bad luck with injuries ??
KK chasing 5 in a row
Thatâs insane. I hadnât really fancied their chances all along, after seeing them in the league and being fixed to come up to Limerick/Ennis three weeks in a row, but they are completely fucked.
The Bennett brothers knew. Couldnât have picked a better year to go travelling. Year is a write off. It mightnât be the worst thing. I donât think anyone will get near Galway and Limerick this year anyway. The whole Waterford set up was probably a bit jaded anyway after the last three long campaigns with Derek. Panel are young enough. Year off to re-charge the batteries and come back fresh next year under new management with a new game plan.
I think Derek McGrath has taken responsibility for some of the injuries through over preparation.
Limerick will implode sooner rather than later. Couldnt put away a disinterested and lethargic Tipp team who were carrying injuries and starting 5 debutantes and away from home. Can see them losing to Cork and Clare and finishing 4th.
Seeing as Limerick were being picked to finish 5th only 2 months ago we will take that.
A lovely WUM nicely put in a sensible post you aul rascal .
This fella seems to building up Limerick merely to laugh at them later in the year.
We are a very young team.
A semi final appearance would be a massive achievement this year.
I think theyâll make a quarter.
Yes. That was reported in the Examiner yesterday. Mind you as @Fagan_ODowd said yesterday, some of the injuries sustained in the match, you couldnât have done a lot about them regardless of preparation so maybe Derek is a little hard on himself.
Whatâs most likely to happen now is Waterford will lose all four matches and obviously if that happens all Waterford results more or less cancel out. Cork sitting pretty enough with 3 points on the board from 4 not having played Waterford. Ditto with Limerick 2 from 2, not having played them either. The Clare v Limerick match in Ennis and Tipperary v Clare in Thurles will be pivotal.
Does Derek overthink things ???
I think he does. Heâll have a lot of time on his hands now for the summer. The campaign will be all but over before the Leaving Cert has even started. Maybe he can put himself forward to correct leaving cert papers for the summer.
Will you stop with the bad luck ffs.
Very little luck in most of them.
They seem like a team that grossly over trained
Really where?
Edit: Found it.
More admiration for him as a man.
Probably an over thinker alright
