Agreed. Considering who we were missing and who came in undercooked that was as much as we could have hoped for today
They are but as you said yourself, he does not have all the best players available to him. You take some of the best players off any of the top teams and they would struggle too.

Maybe, but once again that was an awful Waterford performance.
What special players does Pat Ryan have that Waterford don’t? Hutchinson, for example, is the best forward across both teams.
Starting Tom Barron and Colin Dunford when you have Austin Gleeson and Patrick FitzGerald on the bench beggars belief. Playing Dessie Hutchinson and not having a game plan that doesn’t involve popping the ball in front of him is criminal.

Further to this, Fitzgerald would start in that Cork ff line.
That is fair enough.
Maybe protecting Fitzgerald. He was not even starting with Ballygunnar. The Gleeson one is odd, unless injured.
