I’m sure there will be a Primetime special to discuss it
Galway lads glued to the Munster Championship. That’s how boxoffice it is
Ye’re not Crokes.
How they keep going is serious testament to the players. They are getting All Ireland performances from opponents every day and still come back ready to go again. Clare were done after the MF last year, Waterford had nothing the next day after throwing everything at them this year. Tipp likewise yesterday.
Whatever you think about their quality and ability, the spirit is unreal. You could be right, we’ll have to see what’s left in the tank now after taking an absolute battering in Munster.
Even before the final is played I’d say that’s the best Munster championship ever. Bar a couple of below par performances from Waterford nearly every other game was a one score game and there was jeopardy in every match.
Was Ozzie in Thurles yesterday?
All hail the round robin split season.
Huge crowds, drama, controversy, good weather.
The stats on puckouts are fairly similar.
But it did feel like Cork didn’t know what to do. They couldn’t go long and they were struggling to play through.
Tbf they were much improved on the latter than the last few times we’ve played where we have just gobbled them up.
They are fierce unlucky to be out. 2 narrow losses and a draw all games that could have gone the other way.
They are very good at keeping the scoreboard ticking over even while not going great.
Seemed to get their scores a lot easier than Limerick.
They are coming but they need to find a ball winning half forward and a full back though.
Limericks score conversion % is fucking shocking again
1 more point in any of 3 matches and they were through.
But its similar to last year in many ways - they are often coming out the wrong side of tight games.
Limerick were the better team for me yesterday overall and bar that first half where everything Cork hit went over they dominated.
Ye’ll be hot favourites to improve again and win Munster again inevitably. Hopefully another cracker.
Limericks discipline is poor and their shooting has regressed. There was a couple of years when everything they hit went over. That’s not happening now and when you have lads as dominant as Gillane and Flanagan inside you’d wonder why they wouldn’t try them more.
Gillane hit seven of those wides to be fair But agreed they have been criminally under used this season. But there was a big emphasis on using them yesterday. Although a lot of the damage Gillane did nearly came more from mishit shots than passes
Definitely true but you can’t be penalized for not having a good touch
Ah it was impossible to see the little bounce unless you had the advantage of a replay on tv.
Its a bit like the usual getting called for steps when you hesitate for a second no matter how many steps you actually took. If you make a mistake or 2 on an easy ball it apparently gives the opposition the right to do anything they want to you and no free called
The sporting lexicon evolution accelerates
Assaulted by three players and they still could not stop him getting the handpass away for a goal assist.
That LG could combust at any moment.
