Munster Senior Hurling Championship 2023 (Part 1)

While I wouldn’t disagree, I don’t think you can all that easily either. You have to pick your best 15 or 26 in one sense too. If lads can’t outwork or out hurl the likes of bonner Maher and Callinan in training then you can’t have much faith in them holding up in championship

True, but this is his first year at the helm with them and they have a group of younger players involved so he would be able to do it this year.

That’s fair enough but they wont grow into senior players unless they get game time. A case of short term pain for long term gain. You are not going to win an ireland with the older lads. They just dont have the legs for the proper knock out games.

So moving day will be 2025

Cahill gets a pass as it’s year 1 but that was terrible yesterday. I kept expecting a kick but there was nothing, it was very disappointing.

I was sitting beside a dairy farmer from Ballyporeen and after the civilities ( 7 daughters between us) were out of the way we were both looking forward to some hostilities. It never really happened, I gave him an elbow in the ribs when Whelan scored the goal and he gave me a huge slab in the back when McGrath goaled… Mild stuff.

Is Cahill a good manager? He seems to be well able to get lads flying around the place. But has he anymore to him than that like?

They missed Bonnar massively yesterday. Not a great sign for them. Even if it is a testament to him

Bearded?

They didn’t miss Bonnar.

They were bet for legs in every line. Couldn’t cope with Galway’s movement.

Morris operated too far from goal and ball he got suited his marker too as it was ball he had to field as opposed to running onto at pace.

Big cull incoming

I’d say he’s a gruff enough character behind it all.

His comments after Colm Bonnar was sacked and himself appointed weren’t exactly gracious. ‘It’s a results business and unfortunately Colm didn’t get the results.’

Joseph Cooney is a very underrated hurler

No, small roundy fella. Lovely fella in fairness.

He was immense at times yesterday.

Cahill comes across as military drill sergeant type. I’d imagine he is a very ignorant sort

I was beside a couple from Corofin in the open stand. Sound out in fairness.

They were seething when they went down to get a cup of tea under the open stand but the shop ran out of milk and they got charged full whack for it.

I was sour myself after paying a fiver for a Wispa duo and a bottle of Coke :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Wouldn’t have happened in Tullamore.

By who. He’s highly rated in Galway.

He’s generally not spoken of as one of Galway’s better players I think

The fucker running the shop should be wearing a balaclava, daylight robbery.I gave 9 euro last week for 2 small bottles of water and 2 tiny maxi twist ice creams last week.

“Tubs of ices there now lads”
