Presume All Star Corner Back Barry Nash was picking him up, hence the paucity of scores from play.

The 3 lads have sacrificed any chance of club success with the Well to backbone this Limerick side though Lynch X2 HOTY, Byrnes the current HOTY & Gillane the fav for the title at this moment. By the time club championship starts they are shot but in 20 years time nobody will remember or care who won what at club level bar @peddlerscross but those 3 will always be known as the cornerstones of this Limerick sides success at national level.

Fair enough with all that, but over the last six years Byrnes has been consistently performing at county level for his club. The other two lads, not as much.
