They’re just copying the best 15 lads who ever togged out. Need to up their game with the bandages and CPR and the like, but I’m sure Davy will look back at the tapes and have it right for the next time.
Is there any reason the support was so poor from Waterford @Fagan_ODowd, there was no more than 1,000 I would think. I would have thought for a home game ye would have had a few more there and for the opportunity to watch the modern hall of famers. The support was akin to Galway and ye are better than that shower who never travel.
Did they show a decent replay on the Sunday game last night? That’s the only footage I’ve seen of it. In realtime I thought it was two lads going for a ball, Hego hit him a dunt but at the time the ball was in play. It goes out of play then and your man is down and it looks like an off the ball incident.
But haven’t seen a replay so I could be way off.
Slow mos of incidents should be banned imo. Sham Flan incident looked way worse than it was in real time.
That said I wouldn’t have a big issue with Hegos red. He’s on a yellow he needs to do better. He did a lot of mouthing at the ref as well. As someone said above probably frustration he couldn’t get into the game.
There was fuck all in the backroom fella pushing him either. He shouldn’t get involved, but he didn’t do much.
I was very glad to get away with a win. I was worried at the end. We didn’t fire at all and if Waterford had more accuracy they would have taken us. I think the inaccuracy to an extent comes from the game plan where you have to take pot shots from far out. But they missed some handy ones too.
I hope we aren’t that bad again. Don’t think it had anything to do with Hannon going off. Dan was excellent in his space and Casey was excellent full back. All the backs were good really. Forwards just never got into the game, again Waterford’s plan played into that.
Thought Davy did a lot right though. If they can bring that the next three days they will have a right chance of getting out.
Limerick Clare is now mouth watering next weekend. If Limerick beat them Lohans time is up and all the progress they made last year is out the window
Flanagan half swung back with his elbow too… In real time i don’t think he’s purposely going to hit him in the head, it’s milliseconds, but he’s certainly going in to hit him and it was a poor challenge and a red.
We were having the likes of Prunty and Tadhg taking pot shots from no man’s land in the first half and both went wide. You don’t want these lads shooting for you surely. Monty with two very poor wides in the first half as well. Another shot in the second half dropping short before he was called ashore.
It’s a sole destroying role now as an inside forward seeing fellas lamping ball wide rather than play it into you.
Exactly.
If it’s deemed to be an offence that is worth a sanction then the fella that should get it should be Liam Gordon. He was right by it and didn’t give it on the pitch.
