That was very comfortable for Limerick. They just wear down teams physically and then as the room opens up they take the scores at their ease.

Poor game all round. Clare have gone back a nice bit from the last two years. Limerick weren’t in top gear and should have won by more. A Cork-Kilkenny final is a good possibility I think.
Really efficient stuff from Limerick yet again. Winning comfortably without ever really being asked to hurl freely.
They sat back, swept it all up and won in 3rd gear.

GK unable to hit the halfway line into the wind.
He absolutely gifted LK the goal and distributed the ball terribly in general.
Cork showed the country how to trouble Limerick and Waterford & today Clare totally ignored the plan.
Sweepers can’t or won’t beat Limerick and they’ll regain their title at a canter if future opponents even contemplate the tactic.
Congrats Limerick. Absolute clock work again today.

They quite simply don’t waste ball. They don’t drive aimless ball into no one. In five years no one has come close to replicating it when the pressure comes on.

Big gap between Limerick and the rest when they turn it on a bit. As some alluded to here, the main difference between the teams was their use of the ball. Limerick just do not make mistakes in possession. HB line completely dominated and Hegarty was superb.
Clare had goal chances to make it a more interesting finish but were fortunate enough in their own right to get Duggan’s.
So clear-minded there in the interview, Kiely and Kinnerk are blessed to have lads like him pushing the group
