He hadn’t a clue, but it was the right call inspite of himself
Stay classy Davy
Davy the fat prick
Scandalous decision to give 65. Umpire hadn’t a scooby.
Déise were robbed.
Harsh on Waterford, can’t give that if your unsure
Questions
Was it a black card for the penalty when denying a clear goalscoring chance?
There was certainly another minute to play after the penalty and 65 delays
Surely there was time for one puck out
Only if you are from Limerick.
Definitely time left. Between the penalty and the 65 they hardly played a minute
It was the correct decision though.
It was a 65
No way the umpire saw that.
There was at least a minute of play left.
No. The penalty was for a push, which is not a black card offence.
It was but no way he saw it so he guessed. If it wasn’t a 65 that would have been some call… He hadn’t a clue
Hurling faces a bizarre problem in that the Munster hurling championship has become bigger than the All-Ireland. The All-Ireland quarter-finals on have been a serious let down the last couple of years and will be again this year.
No, wasn’t a cynical/deliberate foul. Was barely a foul at all I’d say.
Attitude brutal in the second half. David Fitz is in infuriating. As usual SOD and Duggan saved our skins.
Took a couple of replays to make out it was a 65, not sure how the umpire saw it
The agenda to keep Cork in the championship us clear as day
There was 73:00 on the clock when the Clare keeper pucked the ball out and the free was given 4 or 5 seconds later. The free was taken about 45 seconds later which dropped down before going out for the 65. So there was about 10 seconds of play between 73:00 and the final whistle 2.5 minutes later.
He hadn’t a notion sure he half waved it wide before he said it was a 65.
The look of horror on his face
Poor fucker. You couldn’t call it
I think it was a foul, rather than a trip, deliberate pull down, or used his hurl in a careless manner, those are the only fouls that merit a black card. A foul, even if it denies a clear goal, isnt a black card unless they are fouled in one of the above 3 ways.
Agree, the decision and getting that 65 taken, took forever. The umpire went to wave it wide, then changed his mind. I dont know if it was the correct decision, but he hasnt a clue either if it was the correct decision or not. A game decided on that is fairly harsh. He might be accidentally correct though.
