He was only adding to the theatrics sure, great officiating. Took his time to think about it, walked out and made the right decision. If it was wide sure he wouldn’t have needed walking out there at all. An umpire at the top of his game there!

Delighted Clare won, because may well set up a sort of pressure game for Limerick next weekend.
Cork now need to beat Tipperary for same reason.
The standard of hurling, despite some excellent scores here and there, was notably poor for stretches. But the Munster hype will sail on.

Just after seeing it here. It looked a 65’ but sure the umpire hadn’t a clue. Poor fella covered in sweat and a long coat in 20 degrees weather. The whole Munster Championship hinges on his decision. Comical.

Waterford never led did they?
Long drive home with an irate 10 year old after that. Waterford blackguarded by a Galway ref again. There was at least another minute of injury time to be added on after long stoppage while the umpire reflected on whether or not it was a 70. The reverse if Fergie time. Blow it off early once the home team are ahead.
