Munster Senior Hurling Championship 2024

All dalys crowd are desperately defending training camps in Portugal

Tipperary have more lads involved in the IC coaching and mgmt game than any other county.

Gleeson - Antrim
Maher ( Formerly had Brian Horgan) - Laois
BDE - Formely of Wex
EOS coaching Galway, Kelly with Waterford, Martin and Brendan Maher with Offaly. Richie Flannery was successful with Limerick minor and 20s teams.

Cummins and Woodlock with the current minors and 20s wouldn’t lack ambition. Sheedy lurking always too.

Lots of lads who would be interested in it.

This round-robin is actually still wide open. Even if Tipperary lose in Walsh Park they will still be alive, as are Cork despite two defeats. 4 points will be enough for 3rd place now and could very well be good enough for a place in the Munster Final depending on scoring difference. It should also be pointed out that, unlikely as it seems, there is still a scenario whereby Limerick can be eliminated.

On yesterday, all of the life was sucked out of it after the injury, though the game as a contest was long over. In 45 years of watching hurling I’ve never seen Tipperary as poor. Surely they can’t really be that bad?

There has been some talk of employing a high-risk strategy of ignoring Limerick and focusing on the other three games, particularly as they have their last two in Semple, but I don’t see it, to be honest. The only thing that might swing me in that direction is the fact that previously a beaten Tipperary team would at least draw a few flakes on you and even that was absent yesterday.

A few final observations: Liam Gordon was much improved yesterday, aside from wrongly penalising the Hayes non-pickup, but it was an easy game to referee.

Paul Foley is a pure poultice on the public address in the TUSGG

Peter Casey’s break is clean and very high up the ankle which, if any consolation, is about the best place to break it as it may not require a pin & screw. Setting it in a cast may work.

It is very much wide open. However in terms of pure qualification it’s the 15 point deficit that could scuttle tipps ambitions rather than the loss. Bar they win their next three games they will either have to

  1. Do something similar to Limerick in 2019 and win two games by a cumalitive of 25/30 points.

  2. Hope that the first two teams in the group go through purely based on points gained . Hope that one team falls way (possibly Cork) and that they will go through in 3rd based on the head to head.

A Tipp win and Limerick loss would be epic

Tipp have hit rock bottom when thelimericks aren’t even gloating and are outlining scenarios where Tipp can qualify.

Winning loses its joy when it’s divorced from any jeopardy.

In the four round robins the team who didn’t play in the opening round is 1 from 3.

Limerick got beat 7 points, Waterford 9 and whatever Tipp got hammered by yesterday.

Cork bucked the trend and beat Waterford last year.

Invariably the deck tipp have gotten is awful. Playing away to Limerick with a game under their belt after a months break.

Now 6 days turnaround to face Waterford who’ve a win and a two week break.

They’ve gone so shite it’s nearly taken all the joy out of hammering them all the time.

Pretty sure Clare had the bye in round one in 2022 and beat Tipp with ease in Thurles their first day out

I forget to check 2022

Ah everyone beats tipp.

Yep you are right.

Clare seem to be bucking a lot of trends in this round robin.

Too many lads spreading the gospel and atheism at an all time high at home

Just watched back the first 20 minutes of the game.

Tipp are terrible and limerick not much better during that period but the big thing is how shit the game is.

Lynch throwing the ball like an NBA point gaurd, WOD playing rubby league and the commentators not calling this crap out. It seems like there’s a secret code that Limerick cannot be criticised, €32 million reason. Tipp lads trying to replicate this crap style.

Our game is at an all time low.

RIP Hurling @peddlerscross @Malarkey

The game is shit.

The day Tipp admit they’re shit is the day they might start to make a bit of progress
