how come Waterford have 2 home games in a row and the Tipp have 2 away matches in a row? surely it can be scheduled every 2nd match home and away within a round robin?
falling nicely for Waterford and terrible for Tipp

The product is bad because the player’s aren’t breaking through and nerds on laptops have turned the whole thing into a mathematical equation
I agree though that the old format with three week intervals allowed teams improve over the course of a season. Teams in August and September used be so much better than they were in May.
Now shur teams are going into championship and clocks have barely gone forward.
The Limerick tactical approach has evolved further though last season and now. Up to the others to figure it out and counteract the second half surge.
I don’t really agree.
When You put these sort of schedules in place you sacrifice the skills of the game.
Look at Limerick on Sunday compared to the stuff they produce in croke park.
What about the couple of decades bleating about Gary Kirbys finger
If you had somebody who absolutely hated Tipp laying out their fixtures they wouldn’t have done it better.
The game is ruined by referees and media sacrificing the rule book for the “let it flow” brigade led by Duignan, Daly et al. Just change the fucking rules and allow rubby league tackling, throwing and 8 steps.
Tipp started with two away games last year too.
Tipp have never had a home game first up in 5 years of this nonsense.
Its not an excuse though. Could play all 4 in Thurles this year at 3 week intervals ahd it would make no difference.
Kilkenny started that stuff though and fellas bought in to it.
We don’t need refs we’re all so tough people don’t like it now though because it’s a non traditional county like Limerick who are at the top.
Very similar to Tyrone when Kerry lads pissed and moaned over Tyrone being tough despite Kerry having a long history of their players being filthy.
The moment Johnny Coen got away with that thrun ball to Canning, the game was gone
There was some dissenting voices during that period also. Most were drowned out by bully boy Cody, Eddie keher and the RTE fanboys.
Hurling is the only game whereby breaking the rules is championed.
Tipp started with two away games last year too but actually did better away (3 points) than home (1 point)
Edit: @peddlerscross already made the first half of this point.
How many times did Tipp sit back and allow Hannon, Byrnes or Hayes pop ball across the field to each other with noone near them.
Tipp stood off em and got opened.
Terrified to leave the fb line exposed by space really.
If you push up on Hannon & Co then you are making your defenders win their battles individually and that wasn’t happening yesterday.
Regardless, Tipp we’re still beaten handsomely.
It a golden era for Limerick ala KK in late 00’s. Tipp slowed the tap intermittently on KK.
Hard to see Clare or KK turning the tap off on LK this year.
In all seriousness are you one of the premier sewer pod lads?
Some savage bitterness towards Limericks success blaming everything from split season, formats, scheduling, hand passing, Physicality, tactics, full moons, alignment of stars and the introduction of electricity.
So much for the history of tipp stopping drives for 5 while lauding the hall of farmers for their one in a rows
I don’t see why the red card is being debated. It was a clear yellow card
Fyp
Cahill is well rattled.
I think they’re just making fun of O’Donnell’s reaction
