Not in my club anyway
Youâd want to be some bollocks to come to your own club whom youâre not bothered to be a member of, and expect a ticket ahead of a member.
They sent back tickets.
So the members must not have wanted them.
So it must have been a case of, up yours, now deck off to Ticketmaster.
Clare outnumbered Tipp 5:1 below in Thurles in 2022 in a round 2 game, what happened your per capita theory that day?
Surprising Cork will have such a support Sunday considering the amount of farmers in the county.
Obviously you look after club members first, but donât see why any surplus tickets couldnât be offered to non members. Returning tickets for early championship games will generally reduce your club allocation should the county team reach the AI final.
Didnt see where non members who asked werenât given access to surplus tickets? That would make sense alright.
Maybe you are confusing it with the dead rubber in 2024 but there definitely wasnât a Clare majority at the 2022 game - Tipp hurled well in defeat the week previous and Clare hasnât played and got rolling yet. Iâd say it was 60/40 Tipp on the day.
2024 game was probably 2 to 1 Clare
The party line is Sunday 4pm is milking time instead of blaming demographics.
Itâs actually a pitiful turnout for defending all Ireland champions on home ground against their biggest rivals.
Ah there was definitely a big Clare majority in 22 there was a chunk of Clare in the town end terrace and the Killinan was empty, that game was over at HT Clare were 12-14 pts up.
Clubs have to put in for what they want, they have no idea what they will get.
So you only put in for what has been ordered. And you only take orders off club members generally. You donât want to end up holding tickets.
Volunteers have enough to be doing without worrying about non members.
We love an auld boo, god bless us.
The cork fans could wreck Thurles on Sunday. Itâs real the carnival comes first with them now. I wouldnât blame Tipp folk for staying at home.
No.
I think cork didnât show their full hand vs Limerick. All ben was talking about afterwards was tipp. Any time theyâve had lackluster displays past few years theyâve followed it with a big one. Think team needs a shake up though.
Cork by 4-7 points
Sure any non members can just ask a member to get them a ticket code if the club doesnât sell the allocation
Donât know what itâs like elsewhere, but its wan ticket, wan member in most places in limerick now with demand for Cork and Clare games. You could absolutely ask a member to get one for you if they werenât going themselves.
Surprised stand tickets were sent back. We had little enough demand for terrace tickets but loads for the stand.
If a club doesnât sell out their allocation do the county board release more to other clubs or is it just put in the pot to send back?
I took a terrace ticket for the league final cause the message from the club was that was all that was going but then I think stand tickets subsequently went on sale. Thatâs the new shenanigans from on high on tickets I suppose.
