I think Sheedy actually nailed it in his interview, this rule had been highlighted and anything untoward inside the 21 was going to be trouble.

Who has said otherwise? Donal Og was correct on TSG claiming the man made a mistake ( which was left there for him to do because of a bonkers rule ).

But, it is also correct that nobody can say with any certainty that Morris doesn’t score or even setup a goal either.

The only fact that we can all be certain of is that McCarthy is a simpleton who cost his team a punchers chance down the homestretch.

If they had been awarded a clear penalty, and as clear a penalty as you’d ever see, then despite the ludicrous decision above, the sin bin, and the 8 point swing, they’d have been within a point. They had far more than a punchers chance.
But as you say, a fair chance was taken from them by a bizarre decision, with others to follow, largely flavouring Tipp.
