They are usually full of running at the very least. Couldn’t even manage that much today.

Clare deserving winners. Left no space inside for the forwards and our use of the ball particularly in that first half was no where near the standard required. Couple of the lads were as bad as you’ll get at this level and were turned over a number of times before being hooked. Too many lads had off days and the space and time Clare found all over the field is not good enough.
Is it 3 weeks to the next game?

Putting Lyons on Kelly was robbing Peter to pay Paul stuff. They needed his energy attacking from wing back instead he 30 yards from his own goal. Surely Conor Gleeson would have done as well on Kelly who Clare were happy enough to play inside all day in order to keep Lyons penned back.

Fagan is another lad who was central last year too with his aerial ability and directness. Paudi Fitz erased him out of the game. Granted the injuries goosed them but they brought nothing new from last year

Fair play to Lohan, even with his own county board undermining him he has turned it around.

They’ve a big advantage against Tipp now due to having a championship match under their belts.

A lot of them wides were poor alright. Economy will need to be closer to 75% than 50% to even live with Tipp but we have plenty of big athletic men in the middle third to compete with anyone.
