As is Kelly. Playing Kelly wing-forward is madness though. While potentially he could do damage, it’s also a lot easier for him to be marginalised. Let him roam. If that means dropping Podge or Reidy, just bite the bullet and do that.

In trying to accommodate all 3 Clare have unbalanced the team. Do they have a suitable Conlan-type player to come in and carry the load?

Being honest - @Joe_Player lives and breathes hurling -. He’s obsessed and will be shitting it going into Sunday… When Ciaran Carey scored ‘that’ point in 1995 Joe’s mother had to phone the school every day for the week after the game to check in on him he was in such a bad way - It’s the sole reason why he detests Limerick hurling - He told me he still dreams of that point.

Cathal Malone was given a lot of chances during the League. I wonder would Jason McCarthy be an option in midfield with Gavin, play Kelly centre-forward then. But obviously neither Collins or Reidy are really suited to wing-forward either.

They’ll probably be alright against Cork in that regard anyway, it’s if they come up against Tipp or Galway that they might have trouble physically.
