Munster SHC Final 2017 - Clare v Cork

FAO @gaillimhmick @ChocolateMice @backinatracksuit

I can exclusively reveal that my sources indicate that @Joe_Player will be making his final prediction as to the outcome of Sunday’s match at approximately 3.59pm on Sunday.

I cannot confirm whether or not he will be also predicting the winning margin.

Fair enough. Anything could happen between now & then :joy:

Joe is an astute hurling man. He’ll have to watch them warming up and see how they look in the parade before making any final decision.

Other factors include the speed at which they come out of the tunnel, the intensity of the pre match drills and the level of strapping on a centre back’s knee

Imagine if was a Clare v limerick final you may say @ChocolateMice is a dreamer but his not the only one

I m not ba man of violence how about a bet all our nothing bet

A bet to own the other poster’s name for 1 month?

I’m not getting you, what had you in mind?

Have a feeling we’ll win the Minor handy and lose this by a few. Not sure a defense with McDonnell and Joyce in it will be able to deal with Clare’s attack.

A quarter final in Cork would be to our advantage anyway. These five week breaks are killer.

Whoever wins we won’t be out

Would Conor O’Sullivan be back for the quarter finals? He would be a better oprion at corner back than McDonnell.
There are plenty of options in the half back line with McLaughlin and Kearney available to do a job. You wouldnt put then in on Conlan but man marking Collins and Kelly they would be ideal if needed.

Dan Kearney?

Yeah. More of a midfielder but Could track the likes of Kelly and Collins who are liable to roam.

If he was midfield they’d just stick Conlan on him and rain down puck outs.

It would be ideal for Cork if they moved Conlan to midfield and expose him for pace. What I am suggesting is that if Joyce cant handle Conlan they could move Ellis on to him and bring McLaughlin or Kearney into the half back line. Cork have options in the half back line whereas they are short for cover in the full back line.

Have you heard cork s full team @backinatracksuit

Conor O’Sullivan is injured. Kearney and McLoughlin aren’t half-backs and nobody needs to do a marking job on Kelly or Collins.

Concession speech already? How unusual for you.
I agree though, Clare should win by a tight margin. Serious overrating of Cork going on based on beating two unprepared teams.

Unprepared in what way? Unprepared (in Tipp’s case) for our puck-outs sure, but that’s to Cork’s credit.

I don’t think Clare’s performance against Limerick was any better than Waterford’s against us, but the Clare forwards match-ups versus our backs is terrifying.

Tipp are a shambles, probably psychologically damaged from the league final. Waterford played right to Cork’s hands with their moron tactics.

I’d worry about Conor McGrath all right. Think it’ll be fairly closer though as Clare backs are no great shakes either, especially if McInerney is not 100%.
