Maybe. Both are young though. McCarthy’s first season and Fitzgerald’s third start. Generally players don’t have the greatest situational awareness at that age. But our defending is a bit innocent anyway. The mindset of the Lohans, Doyle, or Daly just isn’t there. Of course it wasn’t always there for those lads either. They’d a rough enough apprenticeship in 93 & 94.
