Well the Tipp fans did fight among themselves during the Munster SH Final in Limerick a few years back, so I’d say its a safe bet there will be some action.
Generally decent skins at these Wednesday evening games but I wouldn’t be surprised if the Tipp scum element were out in force tonight. Fuck the cunts. It’ll be all the sweeter.
Can you imagine the amount of cunts on their summer holidays? That night in Ennis way back it was all young fellas causing the trouble.

Travelling in more hope than confidence tonight…Maybe I am overrating this side, although it does look mightily impressive on paper, but I just think we are lacking a bit of physicality and leadership compared to last year, now that is not to say that the likes of a Nash or Hayes won’t stand up and be counted tonight, just think it is a huge ask to go to Thurles and beat this side…We certainly can’t make a slow start like we did V Waterford last year and Limerick this year, we need to hit the ground running, if we make a positive start then we have a great chance as this is a confident team with a bit of a winning mentality and if we are in front half way through the second half I don’t think we will be beaten, but getting on top will be a big ask…
Puke you have to take into account that 6 or 7 of the Stone throwers main men played 70 hard mins on the Croke Park sod just 3 days ago.
I cannot for the life of me understand how Clare are 2/1 to win this game knowing this?
Last year Tipperary u21’s lost badly to Waterford 3 days after a senior game. 2/1 about the All-Ireland champions represents the best value I’ve seen in a long long time.
I’ve 50 on them and wish it was more.
I have then backed about 3 months ago at 7/2 to win munster…I even tipped off a few posters on here about it, whether they followed up i don’t know…There will be little in it but like I said maybe I am overrating this tipp side and not rating Clare highly enough, I suppose I will have my answer in about 8 hours
Would I be right in saying that Chaplin, Markham, O’Conner, Honan, Kennedy and McGrath are all underage again next year…Not certain about Kennedy but thought he was corner forward v Tipp in 2008…
Nash is underage as well, thought he was older(although I could be thinking of Cathal)…Heagney and Moynihan are underage as well…We will have a very handy side next year as well
Minor team that beat Cork in 2008
K. Brennan; D. Nash, B. Glynn, C. Chaplin; L. O’Loughlin, P. Fitzpatrick, B,. O’Connor; K. Moynihan, K. Heagney; S. McConigley, T. Downes, P. O’Connor; M. Barry, D. Honan, C. McGrath.
Subs: F. Kennedy for McConigley; D. Morey for Barry; K. Ryan for Nash; I. Fahy for Honan.
Markham and McInerney didn’t play due to a dispute between football and hurling management
Hard one to call. For me it’s all about the quality of ball that Honan and McGrath get. If they’re lobbing ball down on Honan’s head like they were against Limerick we can forget about it. If Conlon and Nicky don’t deliver big performances it’ll be the first time they haven’t done it. I’d be a bit concerned about both though in that they’ve had no meaningful break in a long, long time. Will they have the same appetite as last year? As I said already if it’s a tight game they’ll come out on top, but if Tipp stretch ahead it’ll be very hard to pull them back.
are we going to do it
decent aul game here. no way was that Tipp goal legit tho, clearly threw the ball. super finish tho it must be said.
Yeah, I thought the same thing on the Tipp goal. You’d nearly allow it for the quality of the goal otherwise though! Good game alright. You often get great open hurling in U21 games. Tipp look the better team, but you’d wonder whether Sunday’s game will catch up with their seniors in the second half.
Super game so far, great start for Clare but missing those goal chances gave Tipp a huge boost(Awful attempt at finishing by Honan). Tipp well on top around the middle of the field, Clare relying on individuals rather than seeming to have a game plan. Tipps to lose for me.
Penalty for tipp… and its saved!
Clare throwing this away the last couple of minutes.
Clare need a goal but cant see where it will come from. Honan too far from goal to be effective. Clare not physical enough for whats a very strong Tipp side.
Shocking trespassing here
Deserved win for Tipp, far stronger than Clare and took some great scores. Quality of ball into Clare forwards in second half was appalling. Hayes at half forward was the pick if the Clare players, hard to pick out Tipps best player, too many quality performances.
Tipp boys just looked bigger and stronger than the banner men. Deserving winners
