How do lads get around to other forums i don’t know.
Who would be favourite for Junior A in North Cork this year Kev, will have to do my homework for later on in the year. Clyda?
Castletownroache i’d say. Charleville might make a burst again after a poor year last year, loosing CF year before, they have loads of talent but can perform poorly on big days.
Clyda only got to the final last year i’d suspect on the back of getting to PI Football final, they were flying fit, playing week in and out while some of the teams were waiting around for ages.
Open county this year, Clough Duv are struggling, Grenagh could be an outside bet. Best team in Mid Cork at the moment.
I hear Sars are as determined to win East cork as the senior almost.
Where did you hear this? And whats up with Cloughduv?
Is JBM still training Cloughduv?
According to AFR this is the team and it doesn’t look too far wrong
Touhy
Nash-Chaplin-Gunning
O’conell-Morey-O’connor
Vaughan-Golden
Collins-Conlon-Heagney
Mcgrath-Honan-Kennedy
Liam Markham will be disappointed to miss out but as I said we aren’t as physically strong as last year and it looks as though the Management have looked to play a physically strong spine…Kennedy getting the nod ahead of Hayes for the corner
Vauaghan and Golden must be flying in training if they are keeping Kevin Moynihan off the team
I can’t understand the attitude towards Markham. He’s getting an awful raw deal here.
Interesting to see how this full-backline holds up. All three have good fitz experience. Hopefully it’ll stand to them.
Would wonder about Heagney’s mobility as a wing forward but he can definately win ball and is a decent free taker as well, wonder has he been picked with that in mind…Full forward line is a bit light but has plenty of pace and if given the right ball will be lethal…Pat Vaughan from S’OB has been flying by all accounts this year, good engine on him and is dynamite under a dropping ball, haven’t seen much of Golden but the Bridge crowd rave about him…Half back line if they click could be very good and would certainly give the full forward line decent service, wouldn’t be surprised to see the half forward line play deep out the field
We should have a decent bench with the likes if Eoin Hayes, Markham, Moynihan and McInerney to name a few being very good impact players…
It’s a good sign to see such competition for places alright. Will have helped the management keep an edge in training despite the absence of the big names. I wonder how the Newmarket gang feel about Hayes not starting.
A strong half-backline and full-forward line is always half the battle, and on paper at least we have that. We’'l have to wait and see how the rest of the team clicks.
Hon SOB’s
Cork subs:
Kevin Roche, Mark Ellis, Seamus Corry, Jack Herlihy, Glen O Connor, Padraigh Goold, Michael O Sullivan, Fionn Keane, Robert O Driscoll, Conor Lehane, and Mossie Carroll…
that Clare team looks strong but is nothing compared to Tipps.
Tipp’s subsbench is unreal, fair few potential seniors on the subs bench

Limerick will be hard bet
Barry Hennessy
Brian Cleary-Pat Begley-Cian Hayes
Paudie O’Brien-Philip O’Loughlin-Nicky Quaid
Tom O’Brien-Paul Browne
James O’Brien-Colin Madden-Declan Hannon
Mikey Kiely-Seanie Tobin-Graham Mulcahy
[/quote]That’s a fairly good team in fairness,Hannon,Mulcahy and Tobin are quality forwards while Quaid and Browne will add plenty of experience.Lokking forward to this!
What’s the Fitzgibbon experience like on that Tipp team noddy? I’ve often heard of Tipp lads struggling to make the cut at colleges level.
Good stuff.
Cahill (UCC) Hennessy (NUIG) Murphy (UL) Ryan (LIT) and Heffernan (UL) have all played Fitzgibbon.
a few more will be playing Fitzgibbon next year id say
I thought there’d be more. Lack of interest in education over that way I suppose.
On the Clare team Touhy (NUIG), Nash (NUIG), Chaplin (LIT), Gunning (LIT), O’Connell (LIT), Morey (NUIG), Collins (LIT), Conlon (NUIG) and Heagney (NUIG) all played in the final weekend. Honan (UCC) played a good bit as well.
