christ, any update, cork in cusack park would be sweet.
Absolute non sense…Limerick were on top for the first 20 minutes then the Clare half backline took over and Clare were the dominant side, Limerick were kept in the game due to Clare’s wastefulness in front of goal, Clare finished the far stronger side in both halves…Limerick hurled well to their credit but in the second half had to work far harder than Clare for their scores…As illustrated by Clare’s goal they had more gears to go to and will be happy with the win despite only hurling above average…Conor McGrath was excellent probably finished with around 11 points, 4 from play, while Honan hit 1-2…Limerick couldn’t handle either of them…Morey had a commanding game after being hesitant in possesion in the opening few minutes while the full backline was solid through out, O’Conner from the 20 minute mark onwards cleaned up…We were destroyed in midfield for the first 20 minutes but Sean Collins moving out here madea big difference…

8pts apiece now, both sides starting to motor though in terrible conditions!
terrible conditions ffs
utter bollocks… if limerick didnt foul the clare forwards, clare would have scored either goals or points.
bullet points?
[]Limerick dominated first twenty minutes
[]Clare changed their midfield and took over
[]Clare better side despite not playing all that well, should have won by more
[]Conor McGrath excellent
cheers
Ground was a bit wet but didn’t notice lads losing their footing, not so much as a puff of wind or a drop of rain during the match
Tipp won by 2 points in E.T
Cork 0-21 2-17 Tipperary, Pairc Ui Chaoimh AET
0-17 to 2-11 at FT
Outclassed really. When Tipp actually played hurling in ET they were basically unstoppable. There is two definite future inter-county hurlers in that Cork team - MacCarthy and Egan. After that, not sure really.
Hon the puke,
That’s telling ye lads and he is bang on too I have to add Clare were robbed of a stone wall penalty, umpire threw up the hand when the limerick keeper was alleged to have stepped out of the square to a collective ''fuck sake ‘’ from the crowd.
Tipp in Thurles, I suppose it will be hard to motivate them for than
That’s a pile of shite Puke, especially the third statement,if it weren’t for Tuohys class save when it was nip and tuck all through Limerick could have won.Once again Clare fans replace pre match cockiness with post match arrogance calling their performance average, pull the other one.
We will need to improve though turfcutter…Conlon was quiet tonight, although not much ball came his way…Vaughan, Heagney and Golden will have to hurl a lot better as well, although Goldne battled away and Vaughan came into it in the last ten…But yet again the management made the right changes at the right time, fair play to them…
Thought Honan’s point before half time was worth the admission alone…Hooked the limerick back and in the same motion caught the ball and headed for goal, some piece of skill
Just in from the game, disappointing loss, but it has to be said Tipp are the better team. Having said that, for the 3rd time in 2 weeks a Cork team led by 3 points with time up, and gave away a free that was goaled. It was a good exciting game, which really came to life in 2nd half. Some great scores taken by both sides. But it was looking at a Minor team playing a Senior team such was the size difference, Tipp are fucking massive.
Had Cork won this in normal time i think it would really have fucked Tipp in the heads, in all grades. I’d seriously worry about the heads of the Tipp lads, bar Brendan Maher and Seamus Hennessy (MOTM by a mile) the rest were looking around chasing shadows when a very light Cork team started working hard and ran at them. Their line was dumb founded and didn’t know what to do (even though it was obvious Cork had dropped back a midfielder). Tommy Dunne has alot to learn.
The ref absolutely fucked Cork start to finish, Ger hoey from Clare should be ashamed of himself. The worst being with time up and Cork attacking Ryan Clifford was blatently tripped, no free, Padraic Maher picked up the break and drove it down, and Tipp won a free on the 21, which was a free in fairness. Having said that, Tipp were better overall, and it would have be the most unlikely win in a long time for Cork, yet they should have held out after scoring 8 points without reply in the last 15 mins to lead by 3 with time up.
Positives for Cork - The keeper is unbelievable, Darran McCarthy, William Egan is the real deal, Lorcan McLoughlin played well after a poor start and Nagle had a fine game, all could possibly move up a level.
The full back line was well beaten over the whole game.
The half back line dominated after giving up a few early scores. Daniel Kearney tried hard, but was way too small for the Tipp lads, horsed out of it too much.
Seamus Farrell isn’t a IC U-21.
In the forwards, Mark Collins is brutal, and again missed easy chances, how the impressive Padraic Gould didn’t start i don’t know. Bowels and Clifford both played well, Rob White was doing some damage, but then for the whole 2nd half kept coming out and jumping on the back of his own players, Tipp cleaned up on breaks. Poor management here, i heard a selector coming out to White and telling him to time his jumps, ffs he should have been telling him to stop jumping up on his own guys breaking ball for Tipp.
Turenne - I have watched Luke O’ Farrell now 4-5 times in past year or so and fucking hell he’s not up to it. He’s got great skill and speed, but he’s soft and woefully lazy. He also misses too many chances, he’s not up to it, and looks to have a poor attitude to me.
On Tipp, Jesus they have some fantasic hurlers, but there is either an attitude or a concentration problem, or maybe a bit of both. Brendan Maher was brilliant, unreal in the air, he has a real nasty streak as well, in fact Tipp in general were filthy, but just not quite bad enough to get caught or turn a ref, they are learning from the cats. Hennessy was superb, work rate, fielding, brilliant for positioning and an absolute beast of a man. I’d have him on way before Seamus Callinan anyway thats for sure.
Murphy at center forward is a class act, real cutting center forward, and his battle with Egan was brilliant, although Tipp moved him out to the wing after Egan got on top in 2nd half. Maher wing forward was handy for a while but seemed to lose interest then. Inside Heffernan impressed, the other 2 should have stayed at home, John Dwyer was brutal. The touch of the Tipp forwards was class, but they were lazy in execution alot of the time. the fielding of their backs was superb.
It should be an interesting final, and Tipp are gunning for Clare, a lot of comments going off the pitch after about getting those Clare cunts etc.
I must say i was quite proud of this Cork team, they gave it everything against a clearly better team.
compared to our performances last year it was average…To say otherwise is a lie, like a said limerick hurled well but if you believe they were the better team and deserved to win you are deluded…Touhy made one good save alright, the second one was from a tight angle and stright at him, it was never going in…Conor McGrath and Honan were both fouled when straight through on goal second half and both of them butchered good goal scoring chances and as Turfcutter says Honan was denied a stone wall penalty first half…From the 20 minute mark onwards when Collins went midfield Clare out scored Limerick 1- 14 to 1-06, read into that what you will
I’d be the first one to say fuck any Clare person who is arrogant after that but the puke is correct here. We were in no way over confident going to Limerick simply because it was Limerick, ye can always knock us off our perch.
We may no like ye but we respect the hurling people of Limerick we know that ye are a proud hurling county
you’re kidding right? bullet points please
Just watch TG4 the next night ya lazy fuck.
The one from the tesco car park last year was better
Did you see the Limerick stewards hunting the half a dozen or so lads from the open stand in the second half…FFS they must have sent over 20 of them to shift them…
