That was a truly bloody awful song

Why is Willie Nelson so cool?

Every time I put on a YouTube video he’s there in the background strumming his guitar. Standing there with his stupid hat on. He never sings, never moves.

How come he seems to be so popular with other genuine artists.

He brings the weed. Kinda like status quo at live aid.

This… He’s still pumping out stuff at 89. Willie’s a legend.

Willie’s somewhat chaotic lifestyle endears him to me somewhat. He’s left a savage back catalogue of stuff behind him and keeps plugging away.
If you couldn’t be but touched by a lot of his stuff you’ve lost your soul somehow.

Around 20 years ago Josh Ritter had a song that received a lot of radio play in Ireland
Can anybody remember the song, I’ve had a browse through Spotify but can’t see it or recognise it by name anyway

Kathleen?

Snow is Gone?

This one - Kathleen ?

Thin Blue Flame

Kathleen is a great song, but I don’t think its the one I’m thinking of

I’ll check out the others

Harrisburg or Me and Jiggs

Here’s your homework.

Snow is gone is the answer I was looking for :+1:

The lyric ‘hello starling’ is in it, that was the name of the album that brought him to prominence over here I think.

Kathleen is a wonderful song as well

He used to end his set with Black Velvet Band back then as he didn’t think any of his songs were upbeat enough.
