National Football League 2026

I see Derek Duggans lad came on today and kicked 2 points for Roscommon. Breeding and all of that

Cavan putting up a fine effort in Cork too, lots of counties with something to be positive about.

I heard rapturous cheers when Sherlock kicked the two point winner for Cork and was puzzled as to how the footballers had such a raucous support. Dawned on me then when I saw the hurling had taken place directly after it in PuC. That new Cavan manager Dermot McCabe was over Westmeath last year where he had a similar fate losing numerous games late on.

Cork have some serious 2 pt kickers. Tough one for cavan

Kennedy is an absolute monster, still only 19. Kerry are producing forwards at an absolutely ferocious rate. Tyrone I feel have a great conveyor belt but with forwards they’re all the same genre of forward, short and quick with lovely footwork etc but no big ball winner. Kerry have Clifford and Kennedy now who can match the physicality with the pace and technical ability. Along with some of the shorter genre like Dylan Geaney or Paudie.

Mulhern for Galway looks a player. By god we have our game back. Actual forwards now being shoehorned in that you would happily throw on TG4 to have a look at. As opposed to the last 10 years the absolute muck even the top teams would be churning out.

Brian Carney said on the radio there during the afternoon that Jack O’Connor compared Kennedy to Kieran Donaghy. That’s some pedestal already.

Another side note. The demise of Derry in the last 18 months or so needs to be studied or something. We were told they were destined to be going for the all Ireland in the spring of 2024 and I can’t remember a game they’ve won since.

The county sold their soul

No issue with the hooter but feck me that Cawley is a w**ker. There was two fouls on Roscommon players before he gave the free to Kerry at the end. Was shocking bad refereeing

Did he add three inches to his height ?

Forgot that Daire Cregg is Boyle too. He put on an exhibition yesterday in Killarney. Between him, The Smith’s and Cian McKeon Boyle have four inter-county standard players. Should really be pushing Brigids and Pearses.

All above are forwards, The other end of the pitch is the issue for them.

Although they should have beaten Pearses last year. 7 points up with 8 minutes left in1/4 final ,they lost after extra time.

They also should have won a championship in 2022 when they lost to Strokestown in the final.

Not the normal uttering from a county social media account. Be great to see this sort of thing ramp up, and let the sledging begin

The low counties.

The league is a great competition. Be a nawful shame to promote it

Wicklow put out the 20s the last day, there’s gonna be a bite to this one. Wait and see

The fucking fisted point

Finian O’ Laoi is flying. Is he a brother of the An Spiddal player with a few Galway appearances who left teaching to become a PT on TikTok?

Armagh are brilliantly coached. You’d feel they’ll need Rian back to win Sam though. Blaine could’ve done a lot better for the goal for Molloy. Strangely Molloy now subbed off before HT.
