National Hurling League 2012

No highlights of Kilkenny v Dublin on RTE. FFS.

That’s why we’re champions x4

In all seriousness though, 6 goals is fairly worrying. Baffling that they don’t at least have highlights when the other 2 games were shown on TG4 already. Was on the piss in Mayo this weekend so I’ve seen nothing. I was surprised that we had such a bad start as the Kilkenny team picked looked very strong.

I had a small cut off us @4/1 when Ryan O’Dwyer was sent off.

Ah ffs. Was looking forward to watching it on the net later on as well.

Normally you would have a war on your hands for a post like that Dunph, but sadly its actually completely correct.

Thats extraordinary, really?

No he was lying, FFS of course its for real.

Sid, I imagine TG4 will have them tomorrow night for what its worth.

Gardiner and Kenny took another step towards the exit door I’d have thought today. Losing seriously dents our hopes of making the semi finals. Galway definitely deserved it. Their shooting was awful in the first half, and we didn’t deserve the lead we built up. Their half-back line took over after the first 25 mins or so .

On another note, the pitch was awful. People slipping all over the place.

I doubt that. I didn’t any tv camera’s at the match KK/Dub match today all the usual camera spots were empty. Looks like it will be just the 5500+ souls who were there will be the only ones to see it.

I thought the pitch was bad alright when watching on the TV. It looks really bad under the stand were the main camera was, it looks like it doesn’t get much sun there. At the Kilkenny Dublin match today in the second I seen the ball get buried in the divet in the pitch. Sad thing was a Dublin player tried to pick the ball up.

A total disgrace if true, especially considering it was a repeat of last year’s League final.

It’s time county boards started streaming these matches. If it can be done for the Fitzgibbon Cup, it shouldn’t be any trouble for league matches that people want to see.

I hope its not true but I was sitting facing the main stand and there was no camera’s at all in that stand and there were no cameras either behind the goal at the terrace end of the ground. Spent quite a bit of time watching that goal as there was a fair bit of action around there.

It’ll be like Munster beating the All Blacks or U2 at the Dandelion market, in five years time, 38000 people will have claimed to have been at this epic encounter.

Yeah, I was in the covered stand today, that side of the pitch was worse alright. I’m no expert on such matters, but I’d imagine the main problem is that the stadium was built on very low ground.

Tipperary in goal drought crisis, emissaries sent to Lar pleading with him to come back. Must be an awful strain on them having to score so many points now.

How long more is Michael Ryan going to get in Waterford, three games in and three heavy defeats where they have looked miles off the pace. They are going backwards at a rate of knots under him

Yes it looks like it’s time to bite the bullet now and get ready of him as it patently is not working. Surely one of their former players from the early 00’s would be keen to get involved and would be a fair bit better, the likes of Hartley or Flynn etc.

I presume Liam Dunne will shortly be under the same pressure in Wexford.

Luckily I was one of the 5,500+ that was at this match. Pretty incredible stuff. Kilkenny v Galway in 2005 was the most goals I have seen for a senior intercounty match as I didnt go to the league final v tipp in 2003 when both scored 5 goals each. When Cody took off JJ Delaney I thought i was a bit late to be making changes and especially so when Dublin got a 6th goal after that. The defending for the 5th goal was so bad its hard to describe but basically 3 defenders let Sutcliffe stop the ball from going wide and then then was able to stroll around them before scoring. Some going for Sutcliffe to score 5 points off Gardiner last week and 2-3 off Tommy Walsh yesterday. He looks well able to look after himself on the pitch for 20 year old too.

Ryan O Dwyer must have some sort of record going. Is that his 3rd time sent off in a year? By the end it had a huge bearing on the game as Paul Murphy who was the spare man cleared a huge amount in the last 20 mins which eventually KK were able to convert into scores.

The game was a good wakeup call for Kilkenny after having two straightforward wins. Cody never seemed to get excited at any stage in the game so was just another league game to him. For Dublin to lose by a point two weeks in a row must be hard to take but they look to have enough to beat waterford by although Mullane being back will make waterford a fair bit better but still dont see it being enough for them.

As regards the scuffle, I was down the other end of the stand but from what I read and heard some kk nutcase supporter went to Daly and shouted something at him. Some of the dublin backroom staff and supporters intervened and hit him a few digs and sent him on his way.

I wonder what a Kilkenny supporter was so upset with Daly over ?? Sounded like a cracker of a game from what I could follow on the radio.
