Very good win for Galway. Didn’t look too likely in the first half.
Gives Galway a very good chance of making the semi finals now.
Tipp 0-13 to 0-06 up after 25 minutes v Waterford
Dublin 5-11 Kilkenny 2-14. Would be a huge result for the dubs and would really open up the division if they hold on
6-12 to 3-16 now RTE seem a bit behind on the updates
They must have rested Noel hickey and the dubs sent Ryan odwyer inside?
Hickey started corner back, JJ at 3
Tipp hit 31 points against Waterford today.
0-31 to 2-15. Presume it was a loose enough game
Kilkenny 5-16 Dublin 6-12 :o :o :o
Antrim gave Offaly a good game of it today. 1-22 to 1-17 for a finish up, they have been plenty competitive in all three games so far
Once they get the Loughiel players back they will be a tough side for most of the second tier sides.
It’s not often you as many goals as that in hurling, can’t remember the last game where there was 11 or more goals. Worrying for the cats that they let in six though…
Ryan O’Dwyer was sent off today. He is always liable to do something stupid. Its a shame really as he is an effective hurler discipline on the pitch is an issue, probably the reason he didn’t make it with Tipp
Presuming that both Wexford and Antrim were to beat Laois and lose their other remaining game (against Clare and Limerick respectively) they will be tied on points. I presume it will be the head to head which will be used to decide who finishes higher in the league, meaning that Wexford would be in a relegation play off
Yes the yellowbellies could be heading to division 2A and in fairness they should be more competitive at that level against teams like Derry and Down.

There was a league final between tipp and kk circa 2002 with a similar score line , but it’s certainly unusual
Fitting that Waterford have gone back to wearing the white shorts from the days when they were useless.
Good performance from us in Nowlan Park today. Daly needs to sit down and have a chat with O’Dwyer about discipline. He was sent off for 2 stupid yellow cards. Thought Rushe looked like he was carrying a bit of weight on him. One thing that annoyed me as was possibly one of the reasons why we lost was that Daly kept rotating the players in all positions. I think Rushe played in at least 3 or 4 positions throughout the game and that constant rotating and the O’Dwyer sending off cost us in the end.
Anyone know what the scuffle at the end of the match was all about? It looked like an over excited Kilkenny supporter was trying to hit one of the dublin players. Wasn’t a nice end to a pretty good game. Never seen so many goals going in.
Fair play to Anthony Cunnigham, he wasn’t afraid to make changes in the first half against Cork when things weren’t working
Despite losing the game, that was still a serious dent to make in Kilkenny for any team. And Dublin will beat Waterford when it comes down to it anyway. Amazing stuff from Kilkenny really, to still have the hunger to come back and win games like that. Their attitude is something else.
