They wouldn’t have beaten either of those sides no matter what he did.
If anything Waterford’s win over Tipp in 2008 was the making of this Tipp team. Windy lads like Butler and limited lads like Hugh Moloney & Eamonn Buckley were jettisoned and a lessor extent Shane Maher and Conor O’Brien were relegated down the pecking order and the young guns were thrown in the following year. They haven’t been bullied in a match like that since
That’s a different matter altogether, and it’s in the post.
I don’t know about that. They regularly beat Tipp under Justin and they beat KK in the league final in 07.
The Tipp teams managed by the likes of Ken Hogan and Babs weren’t a patch on the current vintage. Not to mention the fact that Waterford had far superior individuals then than they have now. It’s not comparing like with like and is almost a role reversal between the two
yeah, thats what i meant, would you agree?
I think Dublin will beat us soon in Championship hurling.
A team with a half forward line of Rushe, Keaney and Sutcliffe playing at their best wiil be a seriously dangerous outfit.
This Kilkenny team will not be around forever.
That’ll almost never be their half-forward line, either Rushe or Sutcliffe will be in midfield and O’Dwyer will be at 11.
But I agree, Dublin will beat KK in Leinster in the next two years.
When is Keaney expected back? Is he still out on account of the inuries he suffered in that motorbike accident he had?
Don’t think they are expecting him back until well into championship Dunph.
Keaney is the key, without him Dublin are a good team, as long as Cody is there, Dublin will not beat them, If he goes in next 2 years they have a chance. But even then, its not that simple.
The Dublin HB line offers nothing like the platform the KK ones does, the KK forwards will score when presented with this supply platorm. Larkin, Hogan, Power and the king are top class. Add in the minor winners from 2 years ago (will emerge) and they are going nowhere.
Looks like the big 3 to qualify for the semis unless Galway turn KK over.
dp
Fairly sure Dublin don’t have a chance at this stage Mullach.
don’t be coy Turenne…
I see I am running away with the prediction league
In Keaney and Rushe Dublin have two of the top ten hurlers in the country at the moment. Unfortunately for them Kilkenny have at least four. Medium term Kilkenny’s biggest concern is replacing Shefflin, or at least finding two players who combined can have the kind of influence he has on a game.
Nah, they need a full-back.
i went to the bigotdome on saturday-it was woeful-a big wait between the games-Tipp were the better team-de duds backs couldnt handle the big tip striker
dublin lack a leader-they are shit
Spot-on. Thoughtful, insightful analysis as ever m8.
What a loss to fair Fingal you are going to be…
