The barstooler brigade maybe. Davy was a fantastic man manager and coach. Tactics weren’t his strong point. But he’s streets ahead of this blithering idiot they have now whose only intercounty experience is coaching 17 year old girls down off the side of the mountain to play football when only 3 counties played ladies football.
FFS I used to do that back at underage level, and even then I knew it was a load of pointless bollocks.
+1
This will strengthen your wrists we were told  as if a 13 year old’s wrists needed any strengthening
Forget about Waterford, they’re finished. Not that they were any great shakes for the last few years. A team with a 40 year old man shoring up the backline and believing that there isn’t another better hurler in the county is a joke. Waterford would be around the same level as Westmeath in terms of ambition at this moment in time. FFS batin tyres and playing tug o war as training methods would tell you all you need to know.
Was someone on here not saying last year that Waterford had one of the most exciting up and coming teams in the country?
Don’t know about that but they have had the most soild and consistent underage set up in the country over the past 5 years and have lot of promising hurlers coming through. Although their minor and school sides in this time have lacked that real star quality but have a lot of talented hurlers between the age of 16 and 21 in Waterford

Kk-2 are 11/10 with PP. Think I’ll have a cut off that. Very strong team compared to tipp.
Statement time. I wonder would the team be as strong if it wasn’t tipp we were playing?
Strong Kilkenny team. They weren’t too hot in the following league the last time they won the All Ireland but that backline looks far too good on paper for the forwards Tipp have out.
I’d say not. Cody would like to be putting down a marker here on Sunday.
I’m hearing a few rumblings from within the camp that all is not well with things in KK however.

No real surprises in that Clare team
Any new faces there to watch out for Puke?
FAO Mac
Another Gorey question. Which pub would be best for asking to put on the Limerick Clare game? I usually go to Oscars if I’m looking to watch soccer but I’m on a boycott against them now after they switched off a game I was watching in favour of rugby the last day.
Not really, while it is a relatively young team Pat Kelly aside all of them have played championship hurling. Pat O’Connor, McGrath and McInerney are all still under 21 but were involved last year. Big game for Bugler, Collins and Ryan who may be under pressure for starting spots this year.
Hopefully O’Connor starts at centre back as he is the man for the position in the medium term, but wouldn’t be surprised to see him start on the wing or midfield
Waterford have some very exciting up and coming players. Colaiste Na Deise are in the Harty cup final tomorrow, where they are hot favourites to beat Nenagh C.B.S. I have been to their last two matches and they have some fine players coming through. The two Curran brothers, Michael Harney Colin Dunford and Michael Kiely are excellent players. Whether they can keep that up is another thing, but there is nothing wrong with the underage system in Waterford, whether club or school.
All true but that dunderhead Ryan and the county board who thought he was the man for the job are well capable of fucking up all of that good work.
Patrick Oconnor at 6 is a huge vote on confidence in the young tubber man, if that works we could be in the clover , sean collins excellent fitzgibbon form also rewarded
Clare fm has the official team with McInerney named at 6 and Bugler midfield. Collins wing as opposed to centre forward
