NCAA Football 2014/15

The first College Football Playoff committeeā€™s rankings are being revealed live on ESPN at the moment. I thought thereā€™d be a big SEC bias, but I didnā€™t see them getting three teams in so early. Top 6 are ā€¦

#1 Mississippi State
#2 Florida State
#3 Auburn
#4 Ole Miss

That would be your play offs if the season ended today.

#5 Oregon
#6 Alabama are next on the list.

anyone you think should be in instead? I dont think Ole Miss will go unbeaten in their remaining games, so I expect them to drop off. Alabama I wouldnt be convinced by either, but I wouldnt write off Saban at all with his experience. The ESPN coverage here is fairly SEC orientated, but I suppose that is driven by the primetime games there being SEC ones anyway, so I havent seen anything of Oregon or Michigan State and some of the others on the outside.

Auburn @ Ole Miss going at it now on ESPN.

Missed all the weekendā€™s action as I was over in that London, but what a bad weekend itā€™s been for #3 Ole Miss. Down 35-31 to #4 Auburn with a minute and a half left WR Laquon Treadwell, a five star recruit last year, looked be heading into the end zone for the go ahead TD. But he was dragged down from behind and suffered a horrific injury, fracturing his fibula and dislocating his ankle.

To add insult to injury the play was reviewed and they said he didnā€™t have possession of the ball when he crossed the line, thus handing victory to the Tigers. Ole Miss look to have blown their chance of a play off berth and Treadwell is done for the season, fingers crossed he can make a full recovery.

The Rebels misfortune has seen them drop to #11 and Oregon has taken their place in the all important top 4. The Ducks moved in on the back of an impressive 45-16 mauling of Stanford. Alabama are #5 and TCU are #6 after their narrow victory over West Virginia.

Ole Miss were really unlucky. Wallace fumbled inside the 5 late in the fourth as well, fell backwards onto an Auurn player and therefore wasnt down by contact, and the ball was just swatted out of his possession. And with the Treadwell fumble too, they were very unlucky to end up losing. Treadwell broke his leg on that play, just a freak play. Commentators had been praising him all game long about his blocking and his catching and his general work rate for the teams cause.

I havent seen anything of Oregon or Mariota. The games on ESPN this Saturday are again SEC dominated, Georgia @ Kentucky, Texas A&M @ Auburn and Alabama @ LSU. Oregon @ Utah is on Monday night at 2am.

Ah fuck, I was hoping theyā€™d show the Ohio State @ Michigan State game. I donā€™t think they have the rights though, donā€™t think theyā€™ve shown a single Big 1o game all season.

I think they are just showing the primetime games on USA tv, rather than what may be a better match up. Auburn and Texas will be shite, but because of the TV audience, it gets primetime there. I dont think they would have any specific rights or non rights to games. Just that the SEC draws the crowd, and thats what they bow to.

Isaiah McKenzie takes the opening kick off to the house to Georgia the perfect start against Kentucky.

Red flags continue to twirl around Jameis Winston. The latest allegations have him tanking the first half of a recent game so an old team mate could win a $5k bet.

#14 Ohio State @ #8 Michigan State is live on BT Sports 2 at 1am.

Must have changed the schedule, Notre dame at Arizona is on now

Yeah, was pleasantly surprised when they started broadcasting the game. Some fuck up from Golson there, he got away with one on the Irishā€™s first drive too, AZ State lead 10-3.

Another turnover from golston and Arizona in redzone. At the one now

Last 6 plays for Golson heā€™s been sacked three times, fumbled twice and thrown an interception

And now Golson throws a pick 6, ND getting destroyed, 24-3.

The last gasp hope of climbing the rankings all but gone now for the Irish.

This game is surely done now. Looks like the Texas A+M V Auburn game is a cracker, fucking typical

Always the way! Iā€™m watching it now on mobdro if you have Android. On the cbs channel.

You might want to switch back, itā€™s a 3 point ball game now. 34-31, and thatā€™s despite the Irish throwing another pick in the end zone and the holder botching a hold on a chip shot FG. Still over 6 1/2 mins left.
