Well, AZ State march down the field and score a TD to make it a 10 point game, Golson throws another pick 6 (not his fault this time) and it’s suddenly 48-31 to the Sun Devils with over 3 mins left.
A couple of surprises in the latest College Football Playoff Rankings which were released tonight. Firstly Oregon has leapfrogged Florida State into the #2 berth after their road victory over #23 Utah at the weekend. The other surprise sees TCU edge Alabama for the all important #4 berth.
The Frogs are in pole position to seal a play off spot now with a favourable schedule remaining, @ Texas looks the only possible banana skin in their path.
I’d fancy Oregon and Florida State to run the table, so that will leave Miss State and Alabama battling for the final berth, they play each other this Saturday, that is going to be a fucking huge game. It’s live on ESPN at 8:30.
Some TD there for Ohio. 85 yard run for the QB
Bama and miss state on Bt2. Just started
Bama on the verge of going 17-0 up here. Cooper doing the job for the tide. Rankings next week will be interesting. And Henry fumbles! Fucking hell. Big turnover
Overruled! Touchdown tide!
Great news on a number of fronts. Ducks solidify playoff spot and Heisman without taking field.
Well the new rankings have certainly caused controversy. Alabama go to #1 after their 25-20 victory over previous #1 Mississippi State. Quite right in my opinion as the Tide now have the best body of work in the FBS.
Oregon didn’t play and stay at #2. Florida State stay at #3 and were again unimpressive as they came from 16 points down to beat unranked Miami 30-26. The Seminoles are 26 games unbeaten now and can consider themselves unlucky to be #1, but they’ve struggled a lot and haven’t impressed in a weak schedule.
Mississippi State drop to #4 at the expense of TCU who drop to #5. The Frogs have paid the price for a scrappy 34-30 win over (3-7) Kansas. Top 4 teams should be hammering the Jayhawks. TCU will have a job getting back in now as Ohio State are breathing down their backs. The Buckeyes beat #25 Minnesota to jump up two places to #6. They still have a possibility of a Big 10 championship game to come and victory there could catapult them into the play offs if Mississippi State lose their last game of the season, an Egg Bowl clash at old foes #8 Ole Miss.
Big news from the running backs from last weekend. Georgia’s stud RB Todd Gurley suffered an ACL tear and is done for the season. It’s a hammer blow for a player who was considered a top 5 pick in next years draft and it wouldn’t surprise me if he slipped into the second round.
Wisconsin’s RB Melvin Gordon looks set to be the first RB off the board now on the back of an astonishing performance against #20 Nebraska. Melvin set a FBS single game record running for a staggering 408 yards and 4 TDs to break LaDainian Tomlinson’s old record from 1999.
The other running back making waves is Indiana’s Tevin Coleman. He’s been climbing up boards all season and set a new career mark rushing for 307 yards in the Hoosiers 45-23 loss to Rutgers.

Gordon sat out the 4th quarter too!
The raiders will be taking a RB high, anyone else?

Gordon would have got 500 yards if they did’t hook him!
I’d say the Jaguars are fairly desperate for a RB, I would have had them taking Gurley in the top 5 if he didn’t get injured. I doubt we’ll see any RB go in the top half of round 1 now.
#6 Ohio State struggling badly against whipping boys Indiana, the Buckeyes lead 21-20 at the end of the 3rd quarter, this could be disastrous for their play off ambitions.
The aforementioned Tevin Coleman broke off for a 90 yard TD earlier, the guy’s stock is going through the ceiling.

Melvin Gordon’s record lasted just one week. Oklahoma’s freshman RB Samaje Perine has racked up 427 yards against Kansas, and there’s still plenty of time left in the 4th quarter
Ole miss in big trouble here. Losing and could be down their QB too. Free falling down the rankings
Wake Forest v Virginia Tech finished 0-0 today. Wake Forest won 6-3 in Double Overtime.
Huge weekend starting this evening, and ESPN have got all the best games live
Friday 28th November
17:00 Nebraska @ Iowa
20:30 Stanford @ UCLA
01:00 Virginia @ Virginia Tech
Saturday 29th November
17:00 Michigan @ Ohio State
20:30 Mississippi State @ Ole Miss
00:45 Auburn @ Alabama
01:00 Oregon @ Oregon State
04:00 Utah State @ Boise State
Western Kentucky beat Marshall with a 2 point conversion in over time to win by 67 to 66. Must have had no defence on the field at all!
That’s a huge upset. Marshall were in line to pick up the berth in the new year’s bowl designated for a non-major 5 conference program, they’re fucked now and surely Boise State will get it.
The Nebraska V Iowa game earlier was hugely entertaining, Nebraska came from 17 points behind to win it in OT. UCLA shitting the bed here, all they have to do is win and they clinch the PAC 12 south, they trail 21-10 and if they lose the winner of the Arizona V Arizona State game wins the division and plays Oregon for the PAC 12 title.
S. Carolina can’t get shit going.
