Alright queers. Quick question: my NCT was due March 2013 but I’m only getting it done now. If I pass when will it expire?
March 2015.
Depends how old your car is
Is it a 3 door or a 5 door?
My banger failed there the last day because the vin number was in the wrong place .
The fucking vin number
They are a shower of bastards. They have a target number of fails every month that they have to meet. I was there last Friday and out of 8 tests none had passed. Its just a money making racket really. One failed because there was not enough water in the windscreen cleaner.
If some fella hadn’t even got his windscreen cleaner filled going for the NCT, then he deserved to fail.
I failed for that the last time. Amongst other things.
Would you fuck off with yourself.
Its the simplest fucking thing to do, imagine being thick enough not to do that? Its like failing to take the hubcaps off.
What on earth has that to do with the roadworthiness of the car?
You are asked to present the car in a certain manner, not doing so is prick ignorant. Should you expect the Tester to fill your window washer for you so he can test it? Should he fuck.
By the way, a functioning window washer is very relevant to a car, but I presume you realise that.
Also, is it failed or merely a case of a sight check?
It’s like this with me mbb. I know I’m going to fail anyway, so I don’t bother my hole doing anything with the car until I get the full list of failures from the NCT testers. Then I get working on it.
Thats fair enough Fagan, but its simply a case of sticking a hose into a tank with regards the window washer, its not exactly replacing the clutch. Seems an odd one to leave yourself exposed to imo.

Not for farmer it’s not. Farmer doesn’t look through the windscreen. He drives with his head out the sunroof with a pair of Biggles glasses on

The window washer is fully functioning but it is just that there is no water in it.
Yes they ask to present the car in a certain manner and things like hubcaps, seat belts etc they specifically ask for. I am not aware that they specify to have the windscreen washer full with water.
It would be very easy to forget to put water in. In any case, they can judge if the windscreen washer is working even with no water as it would make the noise.
All that would have to be said is ‘your car is fine - just that there was no water in the windscreen washer so obviously rectify that’.
So to fail someone on such a thing is not only cuntish but also technically incorrect as there is no issue as to the roadworthiness of the car which is what the NCT seeks test.
Shut up you old cunt.

It is asked for.
They can’t check it without there being water in it so they won’t know if its working without water.
Its a simple thing to do. You should have water in it anyway.
The car is not roadworthy if you are incapable of seeing through the windscreen.
Not cuntish.
