I don’t engage with mooks like you

He does have duds though.

Wolf of Wall Street in particular, and Gangs of New York (albeit with an appreciative nod to Day Lewis) were pretty awful.

Roger Ebert, the famous film critic, had a boner for Scorsese.

He claimed that Scorsese had the best film of the 70s, 80s and 90s in Taxi Driver, Raging Bull and Goodfellas.

He’s being very generous I think.

ill certainly agree on goodfellas.

hmm dont think taxi driver is better than godfather 1 or 2

I wouldn’t agree on Goodfellas, even though I really like the film

I would have Pulp Fiction or even Fargo higher in any such list.

I thought he didn’t do the transformation of regular guy doing a bit of petty thieving and innocent of the world of crime to hired killer justice.

He was just a regular hard working guy, looking to get the leg over, and doing a small bit of knocking off trucks to get by… The war had an effect on him but the transformation to killer was gradual. I know time is limited in movies but it would have been better if they built the depths he went to as they went along… The movie is very muddled.

id actually have reservoir dogs ahead of pulp fiction

Mean streets and casino wildly overrated I think

Die Hard is the greatest movie of the 80s and the greatest christmas movie of all time. Die Hard 2 the greatest of the 90s
