Some shows are worth it but youâre right that they generally overkill stuff, particularly documentaries.
I gave up on the Vietnam documentary for that very reason. It was hugely informative and all that, but it was like watching a long and complex movie every night and was moving at a glacial pace. Not sure if itâs even on Netflix any more.
The Madeline McCann documentary was another one that was about six episodes too long.
Thatâs Ken Burns & PBS in fairness, his standard length of doc. Might have been a bit long in fairness but a lot more to cover.
The likes of the McCann doc is definitely what I was think about, totally drawn out. Even Tiger King was one ep too long imo.
you stupid prick.
Making a murderer the same. Could have been unraleable altogether if it was a few episodes shorter
Thatâs not very nice.
ok, i retract the prick part.
Iâm happy to call it the best ever. Watched it 5 times in full.
The McCann documentary had a episode that gave a history of the town in Portugal and how it was a quiet fishing village but then became a tourist hot spot.
In my opinion, that wasnât hugely relevant to the missing persons case
A neighbor is a director whoâs won a bafta for her work. She asked had I seen it, and I said I hadnât. She said that if there was any single programme she could have directed/produced, it would have been that.
I expected to be disappointed, but I wasnât.
Anyone who hasnât seen Chernobyl would want to fuck off and die.
And Jack Ross told the Chairman not to spend anything over 1.25 million on Grigg as he wasnât worth it. Then when Grigg predictably flopped the Chairman blames Ross! You couldnât make it up.
Ya it becomes something like geordie shore then
For the love of jaysus.
Someone frag this motherfucker
Itâs practically 10 feature length films for chrissake with the same stupid music playing over and over in the background. We get it, the Yanks got themselves into a right auld muddle.
You werenât there, you wouldnât understand man, you wouldnât understand
Itâs incredible how stupid some âsuccessfulâ people are
In fairness I can see the thinking by the chairman behind being so keen to get somebody in. The fans would have flipped if they didnât get anyone in after selling Maja. That was the problem for the two lads though really, they were obsessed with being loved by the fans
To save me stirring my arse can someone tell me is Chernobyl on Netflix?
No, sky box sets if thatâs any use
