Big Ron Manager is worth a watch. Think it used to be on YouTube when I watched it a few years ago. The manager had a complete meltdown at one stage IIRC

They beat Man U at Roker that season and all.

I thought it was very good. They Sunderland fans are no different to your average gaa fan going to see Leitrim or fermanagh or westmeath or antrim or cork. They go cause they love the team even though they have fuck all chance of winning anything except the Checkatrade Trophy, which would be like a gaa county winning a league Div 2/3/4 medal

I think some guy called John Mullin scored twice in that, it was in March. I donā€™t ever recall anything else he did in football apart from that.

Derby then thumped Manchester United at Old Trafford a few weeks later.

Manchester United suffered a good few bad defeats in the league that season but still ended up winning it handily enough on a low points total, 75.

The Paulo Wanchope show?

Thatā€™s the one. The same day as the IRA Grand National. He had a wonderful ungainly yet elegant running style, sort of like Usain Bolt.

Pretty sure Michael Gray scored that day, u could be correct on Mullin getting the other.

This is it here, Gray and Mullin scored one each, I erroneously had it in my mind that Sunderland went 3-0 up and won 3-2.

Oh they are. They turn feral at the drop of a hat. Hate filled angry mob, who have somehow managed to convince themselves that the club give a fuck about them. That blondey haired player liaison officer lass was the epitome of the club, all hair and nails, and clearly didnā€™t give a flying fuck about a single one of the players. Its her job to make sure that Jonny Williams had something to do other than sit in his flat and play Xbox, and was having to think of getting a puppy just to keep him company.
Jack Roswell, who was on 60 grand a week, refused to leave, and the club accuse him of being a mercenary, when that utter weirdo of an MD got through two managers in a season.
The staggering thing really is that such a collection of dimwits were given that much money to play with.

Sure thats every soccer clubs everywhere. The ā€œfansā€ are customers and thats it.Any soccer fan i know thinks ā€œtheirā€ club loves them when in reality they dont give a shit and just want their money.Theyā€™re deluded especially the irish ones who are roaring at the telly every week and calling some lad from Athea a scouse bastard.

Making a murderer could have been one episode. Unpopular opinion biggest price of shite Iā€™ve ever watched

I havenā€™t watched making a murderer as I watched Paradise Lost based on @briantinnion recommendation on here.

Without seeing one second of Making a murderer I know it with not hold a candle to Paradise Lost which is one of the best and compelling documentaries I have ever watched.

Donā€™t go and google the back story and go and watch it. It is grim but utterly outstanding. Three docs over the course of about 20 years.

Paradise Lost: The Child Murders at Robin Hood Hills if anyone can provide links

Itā€™s not on Netflix so? Making a murderer is a grand watch if you are looking for something

No, there is a doc called west of Memphis which covers it on Netflix but nowhere in the same detail. Donā€™t watch it until you have seen the original

HBO made Paradise Lost - i am not underselling it. It is incredible documentary film making. There is no narration, no side taken. You are left to draw your own conclusions and make up your own mind for the most part yet you will question your own judgement of it numerous times over the three docs

Unreal alright. Iā€™d urge posters to ensure they watch the HBO documentary. There is another one about the same case and itā€™s not as good.

There was a doc on hbo years ago about a rich nyc magnet called Durst or something. Anyone remember the name ? I saw it years ago and thought it was way better than making a murderer.

The jinx?

Think there are three films in total in the Paradise Lost story? Great docs.
