I went to a playoffs game when I was in Toronto last May. Not really a basketball fan but enjoyed it. Players are incredibly athletic and don’t miss unless somebody is “in their face”. Funny seeing a venue that is all home support and because it’s a sport they try and put the opposition off during free throws etc.

Went to a Kentucky Wildcats Florida Gators game a few years ago in the Georgia dome for March madness. It was one of my top 5 sporting events I have attended. A unique atmosphere and a pulsating and controversial finish. March madness sweeps the nation over there and it’s hard not to get caught up in it.

They’re fantastic.

Great athleticism on show and there is something to watch wherever you’re sitting - if you’re high up you can see the movement and passing really well. If you’re closer down in loge seating you will get that closer and gritty feeling.

Went to one pro game in Spain, and while not on the same level as NBA obviously, it was very entertaining. End to end stuff non stop. Would almost remind you of hurling in that once one team scored, the other team were down the other end straight away attacking. I’d go to a basketball game over there again over a football match anyday.

Are the vast majority of basketball games decided in the final quarter? Do teams ever build up substantial leads? The games seem very drawn out from what I’ve seen

The bit where the French TV technician asks for mj’s autograph only to be stared at incredulously, and then have Smithers jump in and refuse was as cringeworthy a thing as I’ve seen since the office. Showed what a bubble the bulls were in.
MJ I suspect, like Roy Keane, just isn’t wired up happy.
