A few good lines does not a movie make
It tails off in a few places right enough, but it’s a great movie - loads of great lines, perfect photography and brilliant set pieces delivered by a perfect cast.

The Norsemen is top, top class. 2 series, 6 episodes in each, 30mins long. Funniest original series I’ve watched on Netflix.

The first half of Full Metal Jacket is good, then it just becomes an average Vietnam war film.
Platoon is different gravy. One of the best war films of all time

I watched Hamburger Hill recently for the first time in about 20 years ---- it hasnt aged well at all.
Platoon is as good now as it was back when it came out – a top, top movie.

It’s top notch.
Jacket contains scene after scene that are quotable, memorable and which have become part of Western culture. Posters quote it on tfk without even referencing the film.
I can’t think of a standout line from platoon, the cast is made up of a bunch of peripatetic Hollywood actors, the script is pedantic enough, and some of it is ott for a serious movie. The Barber score at the end lifts it and saves it.
Jacket it etched on your brain, whether you like it or not.

Binge watching QB1 here. A far superior show to Last Chance U but Americans are absolutely mental.
The blonde lad from Las Vegas is an unreal performer but I’m pretty sure he’s gay and I’m pretty sure his sister knows it. When the sister is applying the facial to him in her sensual fashion, that was really creepy. The black guy is extremely likeable and if he’d good wide receivers he’d be devastating.
Crazy show.
