It is extraordinary how Glasgow Celtic could question the judgment of Mr Desmond who has delivered the longest and most sustained period of domestic success in the history of the club.
It is quite the precedent to set on Robbie Keane by Celtic supporters.
We have had quite a few extraordinary precedents from the Glasgow Celtic support of late. Not least the storming of the pitch against Heart of Midlothian on the last day of the season forcing the referee to blow up early and abandon the match.
The lunatics have taken over the asylum and well you know it Poundage. You just haven’t the stones to call it out .
Desmond needs to get out before the Celtic fans do to him what they did to other Irish lads involved with Celtic . Hopefully Kenny escapes like Idah did from the vile scum.
Celtic fans turning on another Irish International striker. Big Ev would do well to avoid the place.
MON still not formally announced, even though Celtic briefed the media last Friday it would be him. Presumably done to stop the rancour around Keane possibly being appointed. But there were message board rumours the announcement delay was due to the board lowballing the backroom staff. Stephen McGowan in The Herald in Scotland is reporting this morning that the Celtic board have yet to agree terms with Maloney & Fotheringham & the sides are some distance apart. It’s actually staggering how inept the board are & how they fail to learn lessons. They managed to get away with a staggering amount of self-sabotage by the skin of their teeth last season - thanks to MON & his staff - but not a hint of them changing their ways. A huge rebuild is expected with massive squad turnover & they’re haggling with the backroom staff nearly 3 weeks after the cup final.
MON for a year, McKenna takes over next season.
I dunno lads. Tis a bit mad
Putting the squeeze on Maloney and Fotheringham I suppose.
I’m assuming MON wouldn’t have given the nod for the official confirmation without his backroom team being sorted, even though they’re not mentioned in the announcement spiel.
Now for some aggressive player trading.
Some talk gathering momentum that Rohl might be off to Austria with Gerrard on the way back to the huns.
I’d say McKenna has his eye on the big bag of loot at Manchester United, Everton or Newcastle.
Good manager, but spent 150 mill and took Ipswich down. Kompany did the same but Kompany is actually brilliant.
Lads think that Kaiser Desmond got to where he is by throwing money away at the help. @ChairmanDan
Gerrard would be a great appointment. Won the League unbeaten with 100 points vanquishing the seemingly unbeatable Neil Lennon in the process
Rohl reported to be off to RB Salzburg alright.
And the huns set to trigger the compensation clause for…Derek McInnes.
As those new to the League of Scotland would have seen over recent months, McInnes is a horrible orange bastard so there should be even more venom & hatred next season.
Not sure about the hun owners going from Martin to Rohl to McInnes. All very different kinds of managers.
There’s no such thing as a good manager. You’re only good until you’re shite. The sooner everyone realises this it will save clubs a lot of money. There’s shite managers and sometimes a fella can do a good job for a year or two but that’s it.
Michel Platini is not a good player, Bill.
Jurgen Klopp is not a good manager, Bill.
Klopp and pep are good. After that no one.
Carlo Ancelotti is shite. He’s on the same level as Stephen Kenny.
He wasn’t great with everton
