Next Celtic Manager

There is definitely good managers. They are very hard to find and worth their weight in gold.

There are also definitely bad managers.

Then there’s a lot of lads who can thrive in an environment and fail in a different environment. Frank a great example. Andrews probably benefitting from the same good setup he had.

Or lads like Pulis or Moyes who can be great to a certain level but struggle at the elite end.

But then there’s lads like Mourinho who, in his day, could make a team great.
Guardiola always had money behind him, but at the same time he has achieved greatness wherever he goes.
Klopp took Liverpool from a basket case to greatness and lads said it was the all because of the laptop boys. The same laptop boys are signing duds now, or handing them to a manger who can’t make them better.
Emery is clearly a brilliant manager. Was unlucky to be at arsenal at a time where he got no backing.

Even O’Neill is clearly a brilliant manager. Anyone who has played for him seems to hold him in very high regard. And his record is top class. Even with Ireland. Maybe he’s similar to Pulis and Moyes in that he has a level.

I don’t know where I’m going with this other than there are definitely good managers. But they are very hard to find. And there are a lot of okay managers who in the right situation will do well. And there’s other lads who it doesn’t matter, they will be shit regardless

You’ve rambled a fair bit there to more or less come to the same conclusion as me

No you said there are no good managers and there definitely are.

There aren’t. They’ll all be proved shit again within a year or two. Guaranteed. The only one you could settle on there was emery. Let’s see.

Yes with Barcelona and PSG. The other two won them with nothing clubs

I came across this piece by Celtic fan and ex SPL CEO Roger Mitchell. Sums up a lot of the issues with Celtic and the intolerance a minority of supporters have spread.

Well this fucking aged like milk, didn’t it?

Dom McKay being out of his depth and ineptidue. Nicholson being clued while proclaiming not to be naive.

Hilarious spoofing right out of the Celtic PR top drawer.

This is a thread related to Celtic Football Club. I would rather engage in a discussion on the boardroom politics around Celtic Football Club.

Why were certain people so eager to paint Dom McKay as an incompetent fool and Nicholson as some sort of shrewd and savvy executive when it’s abundantly clear the opposite was in fact true?

Why have certain posters always sought to present guys like Nicholson, Lawwell and Ross Desmond in a favourable light when all the evidence points to incompetent insiders who haven’t the foggiest notion of what it takes to operate a football efficiently?

Any opinions on that?

The knowledgeable fans could see that the job was far beyond Nancy’s paygrade and the only reason we appointed an MLS manager who had nowhere near the background needed for the job. Nobody ever heard of him, it was clear he was not Ange 2.0. I’d have told you that if you hadn’t banned me for being right and not letting it go in the first place. The knowledgeable fans knew Nancy was being appointed because he would be beholden to a board who gave him the opportunity of a lifetime he didn’t have the credentials for and who would be happy to be a mudguard for the boards failings. I can’t exclaim how disappointing it is to see MON prepared to ruin his legacy as Celtic manager to defend such an incompetent clutch of Tory wankers that have destroyed the club.

As usual you rowed right in behind the same board who have proven their incompetence over and over again.

Your inability to own your very misguided and completely off predictions is very similar to Michael Nicholson. You hide, you run away, you stay quiet in the face of it. You don’t face the music and take accountability. You ban people without the right of reply and don’t address it.

Your attitude to fair and just criticism is very much to the tune of the Desmonds - Dermot and Nepo baby Ross - I believe you once cited on here that Ross was far more hands on and differed to his father and he was someone who wanted to modernise the club - risible bullshit. Instead when confronted with failings of his arrogant egotistical Charles Haughey bribing father, he attacked fans, repeated lies and took no responsibilty. You’ve done the same here when I voiced the opinion that we were run terribly are were being held back by Lawwell and Desmond.

Finally you remind me of Lawwell, when criticised you censor, the fans delivered the message to Lawwell and his cronies last season. They have destroyed the club, banned fan media from press conferences, banned the hardcore supporters from games, shut down the AGM because they do not want to accept wrongdoing, they do not want their fragile egos humbled. Lawwell told the fans to behave, he read off bullshit excuses and like a petulant child when he didn’t like what he was hearing, he censored it. Just or not, nobody will dare tell Fat Pete he’s doing a bad job.

You are all that on your little messageboard. I know you can see this, I know you wish to censor this. The reason you do is because I was right on this, I was right 7 years ago and I am right today and 6 years ago you have acknowledged that but you refused to you.

You doubled down, doubled down and doubled down again and then when things cames to a head you pretend you were aware of this, you were against it.

I do know you can see this and I do know it rattles you so much that you want to censor it from the masses. I’ve been wrong plenty of times, but I have been right far more often. When I am wrong I can take my medicine and own it, when you are wrong you seek to destroy the evidence or censor the magnifying glass.

Ask yourself what the real reason is? You’re quite happy to platform racists here, you are quite happy to platform mentallers who doxx people and goad posters about rape and family members having cancer. And so on and so forth. You draw the line at people who make you look like a bullshitter.

Anyway best of luck with your site - it was once decent but your fragile ego was always going to see its demise, you have your lemmings well in tow these days Mr Stalin.

Adios.

Roger Mitchell is a fervent Zionist though so any hit peice he creates against a fan grouping who are admirably steadfast with the Palestinian cause is without doubt not done in good faith or accurate.

Welcome @Aloysius. I was certainly misguided in the early days of the Mick Nick reign.

I’ve basically been taking a MENTAL HEALTH BREAK from Celtic while the World Cup has been going on, but the board seems to have become even more vengeful & spiteful in the past few years.

As an aside, the site parameters ensure all new posters’ posts are screened for a while. It wasn’t a case of blocking them, just that the admin team were marked absent. I’m looking forward to following your TFK journey.

I am grateful to accept this very humble and fulright acknowledgement - I think ackownledgement is a very powerful word (rather than apology). We are all wrong, nobody is absolutely right - only our sacred Il Papa. An apology is unwarranted but an acknowlegement when wrong is definitely something I can appreciate and settle on.

I think the most important aspect going forward is unison. I would like to think I am a fair man. I too, have made mistakes myself - been wrong about many things. I feel once once we own our mistakes and acknowledge them - that is what is the most important aspect - something I think we now will unilaterally agree on is absolutely incapable of the current demons on the Celtic board.

My earlier posts have absolutely shown a great degree of spite but sometimes spite can have a degree of justification and I think my 7+ years of vehement protest against the current custodians of Celtic have shown that I was not a crank - but a revolutionary. I took a great degree of resentment of being protrayed as such - an acknowledgment, that this was unfair, is enough for me.

I hope you are keeping well.
