Next Celtic Manager

Hassenhuttl is the one to get there I think.

Couldnt begrudge Tierney or Liam Miller, God Rest him, moving to make money. I was glad to see the back of Rogers. This one is harder to take. Would have liked to see Ange give it one more season but maybe he is thinking of financial security.

@Rocko What wedge is he on at Celtic?

Whoever is the next Manager, I don’t want any crest pumping etc

He’d be great, but again, how much is he used to be on?

Knutsen is the man we should try and get in.

We could do a lot worse than Eusebio Di Francesco too.

I would take Rodgers back tbh

Joe Lewis instructed Levy to get Ange as his best mate and neighbour DD never stopped raving about him.

He looks like a fake manager profile you’d make in football manager.

He’d be a safe enough option you’d think.

Steve Clarke would be a solid appointment also.

Brown or Kennedy would be massive gambles. Celtic don’t need to take gambles

John McIntyre would win the SPL with Celtic ffs.

CELTIC chiefs will fight to keep John Kennedy from the clutches of next Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou.

SunSport revealed Postecoglou’s desire to take No 2 Kennedy with him to the English Premier League.

It’s also understood the Treble-winning Aussie — who told Celts major shareholder Dermot Desmond on Saturday night he wanted the move to the North London club — hopes to take coach Gavin Strachan and analyst Greg Wallace.

But his plan to raid the champions’ backroom staff has left Desmond, chairman Peter Lawwell and chief executive Michael Nicholson unhappy with the idea.

It’s believed they have made clear to Kennedy they don’t want him leaving.

The 39-year-old has been associated with Celtic for over 25 years, signing as a youth player and progressing to first-team stardom before retiring through injury.

Since then he’s had first-team coaching duties under Ronny Deila, Brendan Rodgers, Neil Lennon and Postecoglou.

For a three-month period after Lennon exited in 2021, he was even interim boss.

But Kennedy is believed to want to team up again with Postecoglou, feeling he has achieved everything possible at Celtic.

He won’t be offered the chance to become new boss, while there would be uncertainty over an incoming manager wanting him or not.

Strachan was brought in three years ago as first- team coach while Wallace has worked closely with Postecoglou studying the Hoops squad and opposition.

He previously worked at Spurs after making the move to north London from Falkirk, before returning to Scotland to work at Lennoxtown.

Meanwhile former Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers is not interested in the opportunity to return to Celtic.

The axed Leicester boss was bookies favourite on Monday but Sunsport understands he will take time away from the game, rather than return to the club he left under a cloud in 2019.

Scott Brown and David Moyes have also topped the betting markets over recent days but Man City coach Enzo Maresca has also emerged as a potential candidate.

He impressed Parkhead bosses at his last interview two years ago and may be considered again.

Pep Guardiola has predicted the former Juventus midfielder will go on to become an “extraordinary manager”.

No chance in hell

Is that enzo maresca who played for Sevilla?

They’ll end up offering it to John Kennedy won’t they?

I think we should hire that De Zerbi chap from Brighton. Atalanta & Gasperini are thinking of parting ways too.

What about Conte?

Enzo Maresca, one of Peps assistants, seems to have been leaked to Celtic friendly media as a possibility. Was interviewed around the same time as Ange and impressed the powers that be.

Moyes would be a disastrous appointment right now. He might have been fine after Lennon’s mess when he could have rebuilt a team in his own image but we’ve got a fluid attacking squad and we need a manager to keep that philosophy going.

The Bodo Glimt man is the one but Lawwell would like some yes man he can put a leash on.
