NFL Fantasy Football 2011

Yeah and he may as well have been a computer player,
He came last and he didn’t engage at all.

We are in a more favourable position now wrt players.

Flano is a dirty liar.

If I recall correctly, which I do, Flano announced that HW would be taking part without any forum interaction in advance.

Correct.

Lies, when did I lie exactly?

You’re no American, Flano. You’re a German.

Here Flano, apologise to Bandage and hopefully we can move on with a little decorum in future.

Bandage seems to have garnered a little confidence from his recent ousting of currently dormant poster (thee linke walshe) from the Celeb Spotting thread.

Any similar uprising will meet greater resistance here

how many are there interested in the second tier league? might be good for promotion relegation issues!

There must be at least 7 people so far who put down their names and aren’t on the first list. We should be able to get a second tier.

Interested names

chewy louie
fistoffury
Mac
manaboutdog
the dunph
lazarus
Special Olympiakos

If we got one more we could relegate Howard Webb & Bandage from the top league to make it 10 in each league

Right I’ve added the flex position, Running Back / Wide Receiver / Tight End (R/W/T) and cut the bench to 6 instead of 7 positions.

We can also pick individual Defensive Line (DL), Linebacker (LB) & Defensive Back (DB). Sounds like a good idea for us to pick these too. What do people think?

I’m not keen on the individual defensive players because my limited NFL knowledge extends to the offence only.

How do you score points off a defensive player? Presumably sacks and interceptions? Return yards from kick offs / punts?

yeah one defensive player is shite. just leave it at the team/ special teams unit.

Surprised at you Gman, I was expecting you to be all for it.

nah. if you had 5 players or something maybe, but just picking one is shite.

if you were to pick only one offensive player for a team, who would it be? WR, RB, QB etc? too many options, and changes week to week depending on match ups.

therefore only having one defensive player doesnt make sense. Do you go with a pass rush linebacker, do you go with a deep safety who makes tackles, a corner who is hot on interceptions, a nose tackle who stops runs?

And your defensive player options would depend on their opposition, like you wouldnt go with a safety against Colts, or you know the Jags are going to run the ball all day long.

D/ST score feck all as it is, having one defensive player isnt going to contribute much to the scoring system and is too much of a n up and down type set up for scores. you could have 4 interceptions one week, and not even a tackle the week after. at least offensive players have oppertunites to get scores to keep them consistant.

One per position?

At least then we would learn about each position and we could expand that next year.

Like, who here knew who Todd Heap or Anthoiny Quarless was a couple of years ago.
Exactly.
