I sometimes get panic attacks at night⦠i just tell myself that this is temporary, it will pass, there is no danger. Soon enough peace is restored.
Peace is within the unknown
A very good friend of mine knew Bressie very well for a long time, including living with him. For over 6 months. Bressie is a hungry cunt (wouldnt pay rent) and his back stories are utter bollox.
Thats not to say we shouldnt talk about mental health or anything else, just to say, it shouldnt be him swallowing airtime on the issue.
Also, he should quit being Jim Gavin and should pay the lads the rent he owes them, the hungry cunt.
Two friends of mine lived with Bressie ![]()
How much does he owe them?
Weāve been here before. Its neither of them.
Bressieās ex Roz Purcell just announced her marriage & posted wedding pics on Insta. Sheās looking absolutely unreal.
It feels like this is a well worn path.
This conversation stems from something he wrote about his girlfriendās miscarriage, can we assume it happened?
Then assuming she gave him permission why not write about it, could it be of help to somebody? Talking about miscarriage is much easier if you already have healthy children, I also have experience in this regard, I presume many of us do.
Are we better off in this age of oversharing (in some cases and media) or in the stiff upper lip days of old when mental health issues were only spoken of in hushed tones and victims locked away.
I donāt know anything about Bressie beyond the basics but it feels like the baby is going out with the bath water when heās involved (on TFK
)
43 posts in here would beg to differ
This is an interesting thread, but reading it wouldnāt make you an expert on Bressie ![]()
I read lots of threads here, not all mind you.
I know he was a rugby player and a singer and he writes books about depression (I think). The biggest thing I know about him from TFK is that manly men despise him
So you know very little about his agenda, but you wade in anyway to try and oppose people that upset you.
About 15 posts since yesterday which arenāt about Bressie at all,
Itās an interesting thread but his material isnāt my type of thing.
He seems like an alright fella in the few media appearances Iāve seen or heard.
Would you say anybody on this thread has read his stuff or listened to his podcast or whatever ![]()
Bullet point
-
Yes i would presume its true.
-
I think his first thought was to monetise it
-
No i dont think this is anything like as painful for men as it is for women
-
i think its a space men need to mostly shut the fuck up and just let tge light shine on the much greater hurt and despair that women feel over it. Apart from the grift, this is my main concern, some fucking grifter gets the airtime rather than an actual medical practioner.
If Bressie didnāt want to make money from this book he could definitely announce something like he would donate the money to a charity or organisation that works in this area supporting people bereaved by miscarriage. That would appease the cynics somewhat Iād imagine
The man that charges schools 5k + for an hour talk ⦠2.5 for him and 2.5 for Jeffery
There are so many examples of that out there.
Youāre thinking if you are such a campaigner for a cause then hand the money over to a charity in the area.
He doesnāt do personal consultations though.
The neck of the cunt,
The first is a no brainer, I never even countenanced that.
On the other, is the feeling that you could be heartbroken at the loss of your child but you need to shut the fuck up? Does expressing your emotion somehow take from your female partners pain?
I donāt get it
And earning a few quid off it.
Of all the hills that fellas could choose to die onā¦. Iād never have predicted the credibility of Niall Breslin to be one.
From my side (and I assume Iām the target here) this isnāt about Bressie,
It could be anybody writing about a male perspective on miscarriage.
Or the fact that Ireland had a long history of burying mental health issues.
Thatās been the focus on my posts, lads are getting bogged down in thread titles, these things take on a life of their own
