Some playlist even if half the songs are nowhere near the top!

Any playlist that has Madonna in it is a load off bollox

:rolleyes:Who the fuck are Brandy and Monica? The New Radicals? For fucks sake.

You Only Get What You Give was a great 90s pop song.

The Boy is Mine had a nice laid back beat too - good tune.

I think Can you dig it was a 1989 release.

Nice list. Not enough metal. But that was never the NMEs thing.

  1. And Martin Coogan is Steve’s brother?

Well then the Bomber is right. It should be on the list.

Vogue is a superb song.

Overall though it’s a pretty shit list.

I don’t think the people who work at the NME these days have heard much music. Not one My Bloody Valentine song included. Any 90s list that doesn’t have “Soon” in at least the top 20 isn’t worth very much, I’m afraid.

Agreed, but having fitted so much crap from oasis into the list something had to give.

Losing my Religion is a top 5 song, having it at 49 tells alot about this list.

Sound Garden - Black Hole Sun???

Neither of them belong anywhere near a list of the bets 50 songs of the 90’s. If you meant the best MTV songs, well that’s another story

No Happy Mondays either.

Only glanced at the list couldn’t see Truely, Madly, Deeply by Savage Garden. Massive oversight!!!

Step On is there as is Black Grape

Big omission alright

Ah you’re right, missed that.
