NME's Best Songs of the 90s

What about I’m Blue Abadee Abadi Abadee Abadi Abadee Abadi?

I am almost sure ex Bayern Munich and Iran striker Ali Daei is referenced in there somewhere.

@Mark Renton, would you fuck off with your Mary black. @TheUlteriorMotive, please compile a list of songs that are in both lists and two more lists of songs that are only in one so we can properly compare.
Smells Like Teen Spirit is at 2 and 1 in the two lists respectively.

It goes in at 1 in the combined list.

Madonna - Vogue is in at Number 2

Number 3 - Sabotage by the Beastie Boys

Since 1990 popular music is so so bad. It’s one of the greatest travesties of the modern era that music is plain dirge and has been allowed go this way, most likely deliberately directed that way to remove original and creative thought. I will only listen to lyric fm now on the radio.

Excellently used in Ironman 3.

She Don’t Use Jelly by the Lips is a seminal early 90s tune.

They even appeared on 90210 to play it.
“I don’t usually like alternative music but those guys rock!”

Was favourite game by the Cardigans on the list?

Cracker…

The Gummy Gobbler bit with her flaming lips, so it’s not the worst pun ever.

Sir Mix-A-Lot

Don’t be fooled by the tripe coming from the likes of @Mark Renton, @farmerinthecity and @Fagan ODowd, bro. I’m a music expert. Sure, I took a sabbatical from listening to “new” music between around 2007 and 2012 or so but I’m back in the game now.

I actually saw a bit of that fat unfunny cunt Dara O’Briain doing stand up on The Comedy Channel or something recently and he had a piece about something having to give when he became a father and that it was listening to new music that he sacrificed.

For me, I primarily spent 2007-2012 progressing my career (I’m a businessman) and battling against other anonymous posters on online message boards. But I’ve moved on a bit from that and, like I say, I’ve a wonderful ear and flair for music.

I was awarded an “A” grade in Music in Junior Cert Higher Level. Practical was a duet with @Appendage on the recorder; we played a bit of Mozart if I recall correctly.

Don’t think so. The NME used to love them before they made the big time.
